Cuz Pakistani actors work in both tv and films which makes them equivalent to movie stars. Whereas there’s a huge divide between tv and moves in India. So obviously Indian actors/producers won’t cast them cuz they see them as low class. Plus, the only crossover who become a craze was fawad cuz he was super good looking. tho I’ve never understood why mahira was brought to India? Every other Punjabi girl looks like her

His shows zgh and humsafar were unique. Zgh can be watched multiple times

Fawad only had a very deep masculine/attractive voice from what I can remember. To be fair I think everyone already forgot about him until you mentioned his name now.

I am all up for Pakistani actors working here though, I am loving how Punjabi cinema has a very mixed Ind/Pak cast nowadays. But that makes sense as we're basically the same people, same culture, same language etc.. with Bollywood that'll never be the case.

Back in the days, anyone would choose Pak dramas over ITV because of quality. Fawad is something else though. He's is good-looking, a very charming man, who can act. He doesn't look misplaced. He knows his job. Thus, when he worked in BW, I think he was just superb in both the films. Specially in K&S.

have seen her and interacted with her up close over the course of an evening. She's delicate looking but nothing much otherwise. I agree with the person who said she is an average Punjabi girl. In fact, other than Sana Javed and a couple others, i don't find Pakistani actresses much to talk about. It's the Pakistani actors who are smart looking and good actors.... but even they lack star quality for the most part.

Fawad of course is classy looking... my definition of classy looking. If i were a female, that's the kind of face I would want to see every day of my life.... not the RS kind of buffoon face.😆But even with Fawad, there was no craze or anything like that in India. He just happened to be foisted upon the audience. They could have picked someone else in those movies and it wouldn't have changed the course of the movie.

By the way, everyone talks about humsafar. There's a serial dastaan depicting the pakistani version of partition. Sikhs and Hindus are made out to be the villains. IF one can ignore that aspect and just look at it with empathy for the other side, it was a beautiful serial with wonderful acting by Fawad and with a theme song that was very touching (especially the time they played it at the end):
