She wasn't bashed... the rack was bashed and we still arent on the on good terms with it... because honestly, to show them going through some fertility problem, then conceiving- panned or unplanned way, then goi g through oregnancy and then having a baby had SO MUCH POTENTIAL as track for a mature love story to show the growth of them as a couple. I cannot recollect who bashed or who did not. All I do remember was seeing some nasty comments like the kid is not even cute etc etc when the leap news was out. And the kid had not even made an entry for crying out loud. That was unfair. Not pinpointing anyone but just stating facts. Coming to the story, it went down the drain a long time ago. If a mature love story is what the makers wanted to sell, then they shouldn't have brought in this whole MS murdering VK angle. It was unnecessary from the start. They could have shown MS as a bad father who had an impact on Priya's personality and kept it to just that. Then you have Shashi and Vedika thrown into the mix. Initially when you saw Vedu scenes u never felt she was a negative character. It almost felt like Vedu had been compelled in the past to leave Ram and marry Shashi. Why did they turn her into a vamp? That was unnecessary. By turning her into a vamp, they only portrayed Ram in a bad light for having loved her all these years. I mean if a guy like Ram loved Vedika despite the fact that she had dumped him for another man all those years ago, there had to be something in her. How can you be a sharp businessman who deals with people day in and day out and not understand the true face of a girl you had once loved and continue to love despite her moving on in life? I can probably point out 100 different illogical things but I have made peace with ITV đ
I am a 90's kid and back then I heard of the shows that mom used to watch and boy, was that the golden era of ITV? I obviously didn't understand them back then but I could recollect bits and pieces and later when I caught them on re-runs I was stunned. Back then, when movies were regressive, content on ITV was so progressive and it had actors like Irfan Khan, Shefali Shah, Reema Lagoo, Pallavi Joshi etc. Forget a mature love story, they dealt with sensitive topics like infidelity with such finesse. You did not have SM back then and you did not have audience to dictate how the story should be run. And the focus was not on hero heroine per say. It was the story that was the hero and I so wish those days could return. These days its all about glamour, excessive romance, eye locks, steamy scenes and the entire show is reduced to focus on just two characters coz that's what the audience wants. I am a sucker for good stories but sadly there are none. I watch few shows for TP these days, that's all.
A readymade baby has no charm to it. I mean how does it make sense? From being the love of Priya's life, Ram's character wa sreduced to being merely her sperm donar. Technically, he gave her the sperm, a baby was made with it... but that's it... he never got to be the baby's father. Didntnget to be a part of her birth or her babyhood days- the time when parents form a bond with their kid. Now suddenly, five years down the line, it is expected that he will fall head over heels in love with 'his daughter' who never really became his daughter. Itni jaldi toh koi stranger acquaintance ni banta jitne jaldo they expect ram to accpet her as his daughter. The show makers screwed up big time, I admit. I don't expect Ram to fall head over heels in love with his daughter or even be overtly friendly. Ram always wanted to be a dad but when the time came, his wife passed on his child as another man's. I hated the makers for it. I preferred the cliched S1 track over this. But him being so uncharacteristically rude to a child is too much. At least I was hoping that Ram's frozen exterior will show signs of beginning to melt so that it would set the stage when the truth was revealed. Again messed up big time.
Sorry, but no matter how cute the kid is... the plot remains unrealistic and crappy... so no points even to the kid for being cute. Plus not all colpured eyes are green-blue eyes. The kid has very common hazel eye colour and so whenever in the show they say "eyes ek dum ram jaisi", i only feel like laughing because what nonsense! Plus the girl has dialogues that fit an adult, not a kid. Bacha hai... agar zabardasti usse show mein le hi aaye ho toh kam se kam dialogue to uski umar k hisab se do usse...đ I stopped expecting anything from the track TBH đ Bcoz I have had zero expectations with any ITV show. Nakuul has a unique eye color which is not so common among Indians. It is difficult to find a girl with light eyes and while the girl is not ditto Nakuul's carbon copy, for a fictional show she is decent find. If it was a grown up, you could get the actor to wear lenses but not a child. In the show they are trying to leverage the similarity and push it forward. Coming to child artists acting like adults, Pihu is still way too innocent đ There was a show called Naamkaran where a 5 yr old was shown to be fighting adults battle, taking on her influential evil daadi all by herself, trying to protect her baby brother and what not đ Even Hansika Motwani's character in some show was ridiculous where she was shown to be dealing with her father's infidelity with his first wife. Cannot recall it. Then there is a recent one - Barrister Babu. Initially the child actor was shown to be so innocent and all. But later on she became a full on bahu material and the concept of the show itself changed đ” So BALH2 is lesser of the many pathetic shows I have seen. I cannot relate it to RaYa anymore. I like the kid and I am watching just those scenes. Thankfully I watch it on Sony LIV and not TV. So I can choose what I want to see and fast forward the rest đ
