The thing is he realised his flaws and became a better person. He did get jealous of Meera but he understood it himself and rectified it. He was a bit classist but when his friends pointed it out to him he accepted that and changed for the better.

He never even once character assassinated or even looked disappointed when he came to know Meera had a bf in the past. Infact he was happy that she broke up with him so that he has a chance now😆.

He waited for years for her to make up her mind even though he knew she also liked him. That takes next level of patience. He never left her side simply because she wasn't accepting him as a partner.

He also was so careful with the way he handled that child and her case. The way he empowered the girl to come forward and talk and telling her that she is not a victim but a survivor was amazing.

It's like how shehroze is an into your face arrogant and proud guy unlike his mother who pretends to be nice as long as everything goes her way. We know we need to stay as far away from shehroze after the first meeting but we won't know how dangerous Naima can be.

Zaroon was fine with working women as long as the women chose family over her career but won't judge a guy if he chooses his career over his family. He was totally fine with the fact that he was literally engaged to his friend for months but created a huge scene simply because osama proposed his wife way before he did. I agree that he changed for the better and loved kasaf with all her flaws but i will never understand how a girl like kasaf agreed to marry a guy that literally raised his hands on her and yelled at her. I think the director changed the script a bit because I have heard that in the novel he actually hits her at the library and they still end up together.

He is not the kind of guy that says women shouldn't have freedom or they shouldn't be educated. He is the kind of guy that thinks he has the right to choose the amount of freedom a woman in his house should have.

I think out of all the pak drama MLs, only arsh from udaari was progressive and open minded in the true sense.

I hope you understand what I meant.

see, I watched ZGH with my mom and it was really interesting to watch a drama with her. in regards to your comment, she would say something like most men are like that and it is about their ego. basically it is not about control but rather ego here. if it was about control, it would look very very different. whereas with ego, it is a different game. in the perspective of my mom and aunts, women need to be street smart and figure out how to deal with ego whether it is in office or at home. that is unavoidable. smiley36

their view -- control leads to abuse whereas ego is just something they need to work around with and is more of an irritation and annoyance. smiley36

also my mom and aunts don't even think progressive characters are possible -- from their view, all men are bound to be a bit idiotic at some point. no escape!!!! 😂

Rabia was a bore simply because he isn't smart enough to have a decent conversation with her. Rabia literally had to get married to a guy who was in no way worthy of her.

I also liked how this issue of older woman , younger guy was dealt in the show. She was independent, she left her husband, took care of her mom in law. And also supported her sister in law. And chooses to be with the guy who loved her.

I am glad she made the right decision for her and it was her decision, that’s what I like that women should make decisions even if it’s wrong it’s theirs.

I watched one ITV that tried tackling such issue but butchered it badly and ruined the show unfortunately.

Oh yes ,she was too good for him.. He was a spolit brat, dependent on parents, was not good in studies. I guess, he even makes fun of her how studious she might be being a doctor and he was not in one episode.
