Fan Fiction Section Features Wish List & Task List - Page 10

I was asking do we need a separate type to show that its an Original story and not a fan fiction.

I guess the types selected are more for Length of the story.

Seems like the type feature cannot cover whether its Original or not. We will add a checkbox for authors to highlight its an Original or FanFiction.

Maybe you can add fan fiction as genre.

The terminologies are based on the number of words. It is applicable to various categories like fan fiction, original fiction, non-fiction etc. So whoever wishes to highlight that may do that in the tags section. It will be considered as a genre rather than the length of the story. I hope that makes sense now?

5 Podfic

6 PWP --Plot ---[ P**n Without Plot] we are referring to fanfics in which the point of the story is s**.

7 Slash/Femslash

8 Smut/Lemon.

9 Songfic >> Songfics are fanfics in which a song or a few songs acquires a big relevance!! The lyrics are included in the story and gains prominence through moving to story forward.

Because of its vast popularity , Fanfiction deserves to be called its own genre.

Original Fiction is a specific genre , traditionally comprises all genres such as romance, mystery, thriller, horror, fantasy, etc. Genre original fiction is a type of story that has a more mainstream, populist appeal than literary fiction. There are a whopping 144 Genres and Subgenres for original Fiction Writing.

Hi, I am facing some issues with the FF types, some of them are appearing blank in the filter box.

Also, the type marked as 'Poem' currently is redirecting to 'Novel'.

I am not sure if I am the only one facing this but could you please check it out once?

We will be fixing it in our next update most likely on Monday / Tuesday.

can we please remove the dislike button/replace it with something else?

Also, maybe the user can control who comments on their stories (only the FF followers/their buddies) or if they don't want comments at all. Ik this will cause major issues with migration feature, but maybe there is a way out.

The issue persists. Currently it shows 4 poems but when you click, only two of Pro's poems show up.

But when I click on "Poem" tag from my FF, it takes me to this page.

The other FFs/Poems don't show up when we click the Poem tag on the first page of FF section.

can we have the house of br link like the ffg 's shop is linked here?

also, the ffg show link needs to be updated

For one of my fan fictions, I was writing Chapter Two under the assumption that no one could see it as long as I had it set to Draft status.

When I added line breaks to the title page and clicked the dark grey Update button, Chapter Two suddenly changed to Active status. And anyone (member or not) could read that unfinished chapter with ideas that I hadn't finalized or developed into dialogue!

I quickly entered Chapter Two, changed it back to Draft status, and clicked Update. Then I logged out to check what anyone other than the author should see. Everyone can see that there is a Chapter Two, but clicking on it gets to an error page. That's not a pleasant experience for readers.

Could you please make it so that:

1. Retweeting a book will not automatically change Draft chapters to Active?

2. Even when a chapter's status goes from Active back to Draft, readers should be unable to see that the chapter exists?
