Pride is and will always be a movement because there's a long way to go - everywhere.

Like NerdyMukta said social media has been the primary driver of the trans panic as well as the dark money conservative words and neoliberal pundits who framed trans rights as "debate". There was a good article I read few months ago how TERFs movement is about maintaining white supremacy(UK TERFs have been allying with neo-Nazis for a while) .

Oh and about recs, there's a French movie on Prime called "Portrait of a Lady on Fire". It's so heart wrenchingly beautiful and its Orpheus & Euridyce analogy is just ❤️.

Also, I really really loved "Love, Simon" and how it had such an adorable ending, especially the scene of everyone coming out to their families. ❤️

As someone mentioned in the thread before, we hardly see LGBTQ+ stories on-screen that end happily. Mostly, so many of my fav characters have fallen prey to the "Bury Your Gays" trope on TV, it's just sad. It's such a basic thing to want to see stories about people like yourselves having happy lives and not just tragedies. Simple stories that give us hope. ❤️

So they overturned abortion today in the Supreme Court and it seems like they are going to be after obergfell sooner or later( which establishes same-sex marriage in the US ) 😞.
