Weird/Strange movies?

What are some of the weirdest and strangest Indian movies you have watched (all Indian languages)? Films that might have peculiar storyline or treatment that made me you go what. I'm trying to come up with a list/database and I hope this thread would open up sone discussion.

Yuganiki Okkadu/ Aayirathil Oruvan

I remember watching this movie with my dad in the cinemas way back and not understanding anything. I happen to watch it during the lockdown twice and absolutely loved it. The movie has great writing but the execution fell flat. In it's attempt to be overtly complex, it confused the viewers instead. I can't help but wonder how this would have turned out if someone like Rajamouli had made it. The contrast between present day and the Chola empire was brilliant. The locations and BGM was too good. Needless to say, it was a dud when it released but it is slowly gaining cult status.

No Smoking

I watched this for John Abraham since I was huge fan back in the day when I was 17-18. I understood nothing and was confused 😆

I watched it again recently and appreciate such innovative film a lot more now. I loved the parallels with The Fight Club.

Now, onto you guys. Please list your weird/strange films.

Haven't seen it yet but recently heard about a Malayalam movie about a centuries old custom called Sambandam

Never heard of this custom before and I was stunned...

Did it really exist? If so it was very unfair to both the communities involved

The most weird and disgusting film I ever watched. What was Anurag smoking when he made this shit film in ages? I like Nawaz but even he couldn't salvage this garbage.

It was a mixup of stories, emotions, no idea where it was going.

The Love Witch. Extremely weird movie but one of my favorites for various specific reasons.

Ship of Theseus : It was a headache, tries to be too smart but falls flat. Never ending debates in the movie itself, if a film is trying to be intellectual, then spelling it out doesn't really help the case.

Gayab: The movie was creepy af. Tushar's acting was a sada hua cherry on the rotten cake.

Ugly : Was a Kashyap fan once, used to watch all his movies, didn't mind his dark stuff but this one was really disturbing and unsettling for me. I was low key angry with the way the movie ended. More than being weird I couldn't really enjoy it somehow.

Recently someone posted about Gaja Gamini., that one too. A play trying to be movie.

Movies like Delhi Belly, Dev D, Wasseypur were not weird per se, but were different for the time they released in a pleasant way. The songs, the scenes, the dialogues had a cult feel even though they had just released, also because they came out at a time when I was growing up with a lot of naive young energy looking out for crazy dialogues and songs which these films were offering, it was exciting and out of the box.

Years ago when I was in Singapore, they showed a Malayalam movie called Taniavardhanam (please correct me if anyone knows this movie and I am not getting the name right). It’s a Mammotty starrer. All I remember about the movie is how weird it was. I think every male in the movie become mad or something in the end, I cannot quite recall now. :/😳

Not an Indian film but Love me if you dare is one of the weirdest films I have seen.

Most of Tim Burton films give this weird and strange vibes.

Both Alice in Wonderland and it's sequel Alice through looking glass were very weird movies. It had plot, good actors, good VFX but there was something off, and it gave sort of eerie feeling
