Yes. This will even look more convincing, coz when a girl is a bit older , her parents tend to get her married without any hesitation, which explains why her father didn't do searches about the groom.

Im tired of seeing Mikaal as the voiceless bechara beta who listens to hia parents and has no opinion himself.

For this you need to start watching him in Chauraha.. 😉

and his family's characters have been played very well by the actors. I also have mixed feeling about the performance of the actor playing Maya's cousin. I liked him in ehd-e-wafa but here his acting is over dramatic.

He acted in Ishq E Laa as a badmaash. 😊 I think he is just a one drama wonder.. maybe comedy is his cup of tea.. for this he shined in EEW.🤓

Saba looks old. I like the drama though.

thanks for mentioning about the hair -- I was getting distracted from the first episode and couldn't figure out why it looked so odd. so wonder why they felt the need to use wig/extension.

do agree with folks that saba looks old and it would have been better if maya had been shown as someone in her mid-to-late 20s. the story and her immediate attachment to tabriz would have made more sense.

so does it mean that post divorce, that weird wig and extension will come off and we will see a different hair do? hope so!! 😆

on a separate note, was anyone else surprised at the ease at which maya got her divorce? the lawyer said that without the address, they will just put an ad in the newspaper and the courts will do the rest. I was wondering if this is just for drama or if it is really that simple in PK.

at least in India, I know it is far more complex. I had heard of one real life case from a co-worker; this was years ago but it took that girl five years or so to get divorce because they had no forwarding address for the guy (he was working in the US and stopped communicating with his family as well as hers -- he had been unhappy that he had been forced to get married because of emotional blackmail from his parents. so shortly after marriage when he had gone back to US for work, he ghosted everyone). perhaps the law has now become simpler. not sure.

Have no idea about it. But have watched few old pak dramas where husband left the wife without informing. And Wife waited for him. Did not get divorce. But i guess now maybe laws have been changed and if it's happened then it's a good step for girls in such cases.
