I have seen so many dramas where mother in laws are the ones initiating the son's marriage with the girl they like and then becoming jealous of their sons loving their wives more. How i expected Naima to be different here. But naah , she has turned out to be the same.

The main lead Vikram Singh Chauhan is a very good actor with amazing voice modulation and his chemistry with Aditi Sharma was fabulous.

Oh ,i thought ,it is currently running show. I have watched the promos of the drama but i mostly stay away from Indian supernatural shows after watching Naagin 😆

Damn, Vikram singh Chauhan is one of my favourites. He was so good in Jana Na Dil Se Door . I became his fan after that. He is too good.

Yes I noted that too and I hate that both ITV and PTV does that. When a guy marries it is natural he will love his wife as that is a different kind of love and mum love is there. I realised Naima may be bit manipulative when she was in the front seat knowing full well son is taking his fiancee on a date. She should have either said no or sat in the back. Zunaisha rightfully told her off at that time. Loved her for that.

Yes both Shehroz and Ushna are very similar and I think once we know Ushna's feelings in depth she will love the same as well. She has figured it out already but we have yet to see it.

In real life none of us would marry a Shehroz. 😉 I would not tolerate him for a second when he was rude in the beginning. Shehroz I hope doesn't listen to mum but stays like this. It's good he stopped being a mumma's boy and good to see how he has become right now. I would like if he continues and doesn't bend down to his mum.

I only watched that for Vikram and something different, as after IPKKND I was never going to watch another Gul show. Naagin 5 had such good chemistry with leads but they brought a skinny nag to make him look good and then they realised that skinny nag and healthy looking female nag is not a good combo as her chemistry was superb with the evil nag, they then changed the plot - for the worst 😆But its Ekta, so that was expected I went into that with my eyes open.

Yes he was very good in Jana Na - he acts so well and his voice, I love listening to him. But Gul ruined him too.

thanks for the explanations friends. I was very confused by this -- I have attended nikkah and walimah but never heard of rukhsati. I also couldn't understand why they weren't living together when the nikkah was already completed.

so, now I get this part of the story -- basically shehroze and ushna are in a dicey netherland kind of place. they are married religious wise but not considered fully married society wise. this leaves them kind of vulnerable to separation; a question mark where they are together but not necessarily so. it also leaves them unable to make decisions as a couple and for themselves because they haven't finished the ritual yet.

in addition to the points discussed on how ushna has become passive, I think her adoption has also really thrown her for a loop. she has become far more afraid to question and speak up as she is still processing that info about her background. then add the guilt that she brought trouble to shehroze life has her fading further away. however, I did like the bit of spunk she showed in yesterday's episode where she was skeptical of sufiyan when he said he has moved on. then she just eye rolled and basically was like "laiba whatever. just stop stalking me!" ....

so that sass and spunk is still there but it gets buried under guilt with so many blaming her and insuinating that she is responsible for sufiyan's stalking and shooting of shehroze. then add the feeling worthless over the adoption, we can see how ushna is afraid to step up to how she feels. she does need shehroze to really stop being mama boy and take a stand for her. once she knows that she has a support who will not walk away from her, we will see a different ushna. (atleast that is my hope!)

the logic of that is strange no? my personal feel is that these women have a bad relationship with their husbands and so cling to the sons more. then they choose a woman who they think won't be a threat to them and their relationship with the son. however, when the son starts to show interest and love for their wife, they are flabberghasted and think they are being replaced and this woman is now a competitor. that makes no sense because as vibha said, a mom's love and wife's love are two very different things and relationships. how can it be compared? our society needs to change on that aspect and realize that each relationship has its own worth and there are different types of love and these relationships are not interchangeable. there is a reason why we have so many different titles for different family ties. they are not the same for a reason.

I rather watch Shrek if I wanted that but even the Shrek was better with Fiona then this stalker boy. In MH they are shooting more scenes with Hania and Farhan as the director has figured out people like them two and not the plotty mother in law. Director needs to really really stop with glorifying these kind of archaic plots and focus on the story.

Yes that's the word - a different Shehroz. I was so enjoying their getting to know each other and flirting. After accident she was still okay but Naima ruined it all by saying don't agree to Ruksati, she wanted to and she knows that if she says no Shehroz will again think bad of her. I hope she realises that only thing that matters is Shehroz but it is a PAK drama and those kind of girls are considered vamps there. But it would be good to see though.

with ushna's mom being a dancer, any forwardness or standing up for herself will also be seen as a result of her bad blood. 🙄🤦 so that leaves ushna in a kind of dicey position of being unable to stand up for herself. hopefully we won't go to such toxic levels of saas bahu drama -- the lack of such usual tropes was what made this drama fun.
