The entire party moved in a blur for her. She was unable to concentrate on anything as his words kept repeating in her brain. As she stood idly playing with the food on her plate, her dearest son came near her.

"Mummy.... is something wrong?"

"No... no..."

"Mummy... remember we are friends?"

She gave a sigh and stroked his cheek giving him a fond smile.

"Ok... so you are not going to say anything..."

He hugged her tightly.

"Whatever it is... I am here for you, Mummy... and I think you should share it with Anuj."

"Hmmm..."

"You have confessed, right...?"

Seeing her blush, he giggled.

"Mummy... what are you waiting for?"

She slapped him playfully and put some food in his mouth.

"Shut up, Samar."

"Mmm mm... by the way just for your information, Anuj is in my room attending some client call... I hung a mistletoe in my room and I am taking Nandhini out... so you can have... uh you know have the room for yourself..."

"Huh?"

"Kissing under the mistletoe is a thing... you know... lovers do that..."

Saying so he ran away leaving his mother blushing furiously.

"Yes, Mr. Mehta... It will be done..."

She heard his voice as she neared Samar's room. She didn't know why but her legs automatically carried her to where he was.... always... and now, after the idiotic threat by the vile man, she felt she needed him more than ever.

As she entered the room he turned around and acknowledged her presence, gesturing he will be there in sometime. She nodded and shut the door. Leaning by the wall beside the door, her eyes scanned the room and she spotted the mistletoe. He was standing right beneath it. As was his habit, he was massaging the back of his neck while seriously explaining something on the phone. She blushed as a thought struck her mind. On an impulse, she turned to the door and latched it locking them in. She then walked towards him and stood behind him. Lifting her hands, she slowly removed his hand from his neck and replaced them with hers. Applying gentle pressure with her fingers she slowly massaged his neck. Feeling him freeze, she felt her lips lift into a smile. She wondered what would be his reaction for her next action. Eager to find out, she stood on her toes and leant forward. Shifting the hands that were on his neck to his shoulders, she clutched them for support. Tilting her head, she positioned her lips on his cheeks and gave a small peck. As her lips touched his cheek, he felt all reason escape his mind.

"Sorry, Mr. Mehta... something important came up... I will email you the details..."

He cut the call, tossed the phone on Samar's bed nearby and swiftly turned around. Grabbing her hands in his, he looked into her eyes.

"What was that?"

"Woh... Samar was saying people do that under the mistletoe... you know... people who..."

"Love each other..."

"Mmmm... hmmm..."

She kept her eyes focused on the ground unable to meet his intense gaze. The joy in his face made her want to lean onto him and bury herself in his embrace. He pulled her closer towards him, the feeling of her soft curves against his toned muscles evoking sensations in him he had so long suppressed. He lowered his head and tipped her chin, making her look at him.

"That's not exactly how they do it..."

"Hmm?"

"You know two people who love each other... do you want to know how it's done?"

She felt her heart race as his gaze traveled to her lips and paused for a moment before they met her eyes again.

"Can I show you?"

She felt her heart burst with love as he asked for her consent yet again. Her inhibitions off the window as his proximity teased her senses, she moaned

"Anujjjj..."

And looked into his eyes with all the need she felt for him. He needed no other assurance. He had longed forever for this. Bending down, he softly pressed his lips against hers. As the feeling of his rough lips against hers deepened, she moved closer to him and draped her hand around his neck while his hands wrapped securely around her waist holding her plush against his hard frame. He gently nipped her lip and she gasped. Taking advantage of her open mouth, he thrust in his tongue tasting her. He poured in all the longing he had for her while she reciprocated with all the desire she felt for him. The kiss was intense and passionate. When at long last, they broke apart trying to catch their breaths, they rested their foreheads against each other and giggled like 10 year olds.

A loud crash followed by a scream brought them back to reality. They looked at each other, eyes wide as they recognized the sound.

"Mukku?"
