Now, coming to what’s really bothering you — you simply don’t keep prodding someone who has you blocked and has made it absolutely clear that they don’t want to associate with you in any form on how “tharki” they are with a shit-eating grin and then summon the rest of the forum to come and watch how “tharki” she can get in public and keep doing it. So much for all that talk about class and standards! What’s inappropriate is inappropriate whether you lean far left or far right.

And please! I have seen enough of those members’ posts to conclude that their views are too extreme and highly politicized. Just because they’re Hindus too doesn’t mean I’m blindly gonna jump on the same train of thought. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I don’t live where they do but I can’t relate to their posts at all every time they outrage over “slights” at Hinduism, be it some random song lyrics of a Bollywood song or something said offhandedly on the forum. It comes across as highly politicized — pulling people up over harmless references to label them “Hinduphobic,” “anti-India,” and “anti-element,” whatever the heck that means. Unless someone messes with me personally, I’m not about to pull people up on online forums for saying something “Hinduphobic.” Not my thing and never happening — and I make no apologies for it!

First, I came at this from the perspective that if someone posts something in public, they can expect a response. I can't believe that people can write what they will, block you, and then call you names when you respond.

As for the specific exchange, there have been nasty dealings with that person. But to twist a situation out of context and to malign someone to settle scores is taking it very far and very low, and being very devious. I might have characterized your or someone's posts as shallow, but I didn't attack your character. Got that? She has been doing it constantly, including with some MID accusations. And you started to as well. Not done.

Talking about the MID, I don't know why they were standing up for me. Maybe they have a sense of fair play and wanted to do the right thing by me. Folks should try that too. 😆

finally, just know that when you impugn a man's character, that's when he might fight back hard and dig out stuff, know what I mean? So a piece of advice- don't be putting on a jhansi ki rani phony show at other people's expense in future.

In a post of yours in the other thread, you shrugged off a mistake of yours (the chakka reference, I believe) in the name of not being a "perfect" guy. I interpreted that as you wanting people to overlook it -- so?! Big whooping deal.

At the same time, you and your tribe here keeps calling people hypocrites, and a bunch of other buzzwords on the daily -- so, are you affording others the same room for mistakes that you want for yourself? Clearly not.

and let's clear some things up while we're at it here:

I never accused you of that MID -- if anything, I told others that it can't be you. I didn't do it to "do right by you." I did it because that is my own conviction -- let's care less whether it was you or someone else.

I found your interaction with Chameli in that thread inappropriate. I put myself in her shoes and I would have been extremely uncomfortable if someone I didn't like had made the kinds of jibes you did at her. I'm not accusing you of anything here -- it could have been an honest mistake on your part or perhaps you underestimated the repercussions of your behavior at the time. But that's not the kind of interaction I consider normal or appropriate by any means. I'll admit that Chameli might have been presumptuous when it comes to you but your posts on the forum aren't exactly helping your cause - so, I'm sorry, I can't help you there.
