Raja Ki Aayegi Baarat

This film from start to finish was all kinds of WTF. The grinch-looking-hero rapes the heroine in public and instead of sentencing his di*ck to be skinned with a vegetable peeler and chopped off to be fed to his equally regressive family, the judge instead orders him to marry his victim. He punches her around, cheats on her, and devises a plan to kill her off. What does she do? Saves his life, puts her own life in danger by sucking the poison out of his hairy ankle, teaches him sindoor ki taqqat, and makes the grinch realise that patni-ki-pyar-ki-taqqat can overcome everything, even rape. At the end, she forgives everyone despite being bottled in the head by her father in law. ❤️ Why, you may ask? Well

As far as I have seen:

Kuch Kuch hota hai- Already many people discussed so won't go ahead😆

Kabhi alvida na kehna- I still don't understand the reason for shahrukh and rani being unhappy in their marriage to an extent that they went for extramarital affair and this affair was shown as saccha pyaar

Kabir Singh- Shahid Kapoor's character was horrible and a mcp👎🏼

Kabhi Khushi kabhi gham- It was not regressive it was melodramatic but a good movie but I had a problem with kareena's character🤔. The way her character flirted with her jeeja was cheap and there was a scene where she proudly claimed that she went to mandir to attract male attention🥱

Tons of them.

I dislike the ones where Actress is from rich family and she is all arrogant, meets hero, he teases her, then slaps her for being arrogant and she becomes this sachhe Dil ki insaan. 🤷‍♀️


I also dislike movies where Hero falls for a girl and when he describes her, he says she is so masoom and so I fell for her masoomiyat. Gadha kahin ka. I don’t know what writers mean through masoomiyat.

Ek taraf hai gharwali ek taraf hai baharwali,biwi no 1,Kabir Singh, Sandwich (maximum Govinda films are terrible with two wife's),Kis kisko pyar karo(promoting polygamy),Raja ki aayegi baraat(films that justify rape),movies where the FL sacrifice her love and marry someone else for her family etc 👎🏼

Some of these movies are problematic but they released during a time where people didn’t have such a lens or awareness, things have changed now. It’s useless to apply today’s ideologies to movies released 20 years ago. Other than Kabir Singh, I don’t think anything is out of line recently
