As you know. I have a fierce hatred against some members of the K family!
Before I start character by character, I'll give my overall opinion!
I predicted that the family will split in two, why?
- Because there are some who don't like to think so they follow what BP decides, because BP's every word is a command (he says: sit down you better do it, you can't say no, I'd rather stand...) or follow the majority, you have to say it's a herd, you have to follow the shepherd...
- And there are those who even if respect BP, they know that forcing nature, it comes back at a gallop, so they might as well do what their head and heart decide than force themselves to do something they don't believe in at all even if for a period they drifted.
- And then there are those that are Switzerland (a neutral country) so I might as well not take a position openly, so I'll swing from one side to the other without another family member knowing.
- And then there are those who know what to do and what to say. From the beginning never tried to hide what they want.
- And there are those who, on principle, irritate others, open their mouths, shout, to make their point of view heard...
- Then there are those who are hypocritical by nature, do not seek to know, say to themselves that it is so and it is good, and then will do the one or the one who regrets not to question himself or herself... or simply to close the case.
Now that I've given you an outline, let's get started!
Honour to Neeti:
Many thought that Neeti had regained her mental faculties, I told you already, since the restaurant, Mrs. has decided that Akriti will be her sister-in-law for life! No more seriously... Neeti yesterday, she spoke in favour of what Gungun is doing, it misled you that she is back in favour of AnuGun, but no. Others say it's ok for her to support Akriti because you always take the side of the "wife" than the "girlfriend", except don't get lost in the shuffle. We are talking about TWO WOMEN and Akriti is the one who comes second. Depending on which marriage you favour is another story.
So Neeti, she attended Akriti and Anubav's wedding, her father-in-law gave her as a guideline, that Akriti is the daughter-in-law of the family, so it is normal that she will not change her path. She will always be for Akriti, and she has told Anubav, he cannot have it both ways. It's either love (Gungun) or family (Akriti), that's what it's all about!
So for Neeti everything is clear! Akriti is a family member, and Gungun is an outsider, don't expect her to change her mind for... a very... long time!
I nominate number 1 for her!
The one I hate BP:
The man who is toxic to his family. He's proud, as he's the oldest, and it's about the patriarch, he knows that everyone follows his words, so he pressures, blackmails, etc. everyone because he has no argument to make himself understood.
He wanted to teach Maya a lesson (not that she cared what he thought) by saying he was going to marry Anubav to a woman better than Gungun on the day their AnuGun wedding was scheduled. He didn't do it for Anubav's sake, no, he did it out of pride so today he wanted to remind what Maya did, so indirectly, it is Gungun's fault.
The man is ungrateful. Since the doctor's death, all that comes out of his mouth is bullshit. He had no compassion, he tried to put on a good face and nothing more!
The person who is going to fall from his tree (because he's perched, I hope you get the pun lol) is him. It's going to be a life lesson for him, when he sees who his bahurani is in real life!
Of course he's number 5!
Now comes the backdrop we name Badi Maa :
No seriously the wife, apart from her crying and screaming, she can't do anything... Her husband crushes her with a force that she is forced to take a stand in her heart.
She likes to say, "Our Anu is not like that. Because she believes everything she sees, she has no idea herself. Oh sure, she is the matriarch so the other women like to know what she wants and she gives her opinion, but who cares? No one does!
Since the beginning of the movie she's been crying "poor Anu", she didn't disparage Gungun, she even acknowledged that they blamed Anubav before he came back, so now she just wants to see him alive again, the rest doesn't matter.
At the moment she's just focused on one thing. You can't ask too much of her.
I nominate number 3!
Let's continue with a woman named Sargam:
If there is one person I find hypocritical, it is her! When things are going well, she smiles at you, but when things are not going well, she tells you what she really thinks.
Shall I tell you the pattern from the beginning?
Your son does something stupid, instead of waiting for him to come back, you've already cursed his existence, then when you know he's in danger, you wake up and blame the person who forced you to say things you supposedly didn't mean!
Well, the second person I don't like after BP is you!
A mother who doesn't see her son's ailments is here, blackmailing, pressuring, but not making any concessions?
I'd like to say it's female solidarity, but no woman on earth will force me to make my son unhappy!
I nominate number 6 for this just plain undrinkable mother!
We're going to do a grouping of people so we have Golu, Yug and Ankit:
Men who know what solidarity means. Who know that Anubav is a man of 'integrity', that he knows what he is doing! He supports him, but he gives him advice. Since they know what's going on, he's just waiting for Anubav to do things, but they never changed sides. For them from the beginning to the end it will be Anubav.
For them it's number 4!
We have three women who I don't know what to do with them, I name them Divya, Khushi and Chhavi!
Three women I see Badi Maa in.
Number 3 is for her, but at the same time number 1.
They follow, but never take an open stand, but always speak without ever being convinced of what comes out of their mouths...
Let's move on to the man named Chandru:
This man is a mix of 1, 2 and 3.
There is no middle ground, when he thinks something is right he does it and follows it, but when BP puts pressure on him he will put his head down, and so on. So like his wife, I would have liked to call him a hypocrite, but his case is different. He's just lost in what he thinks is right or wrong.
We have one called Goli:
So she's our number 5 by nature.
Her misadventure has made her bitter. She doesn't make any concessions, she's like her brother. She thinks that what she says is right or that everything is fine!
From the beginning she is a character that I don't pay attention to from her words to her actions. And like Neeti, she is one of those who will be the last to change her mind about AnuGun, or who will never accept it, but will go along with the situation!
So why did I say all this?
I said it once the family will be divided in two, because each member has a different profile. Despite their good will, they are "guided" too often, so they step aside instead of taking a firm stand.
Yes they will one day choose a side, but they are on a boat that is on rough seas, so nothing is ever certain with them.
Then there are those just to irritate the world they go the other way round.
For me apart from the gang, I don't trust any of them. They are cowardly, hypocritical, and so on.
For me in the sequel, we will certainly see the family "divided" between who is the real woman, but in reality, they don't give a damn about Akriti (yes you read that right) in reality it's not because they "love" Akriti, but it's because it's THE CHOICE he defends nothing more.
Who questions the decisions they make when they are proud? Even if Akriti bit BP's ass, he will have to have no choice but to give in.
Here he is crying for Anubav, yet he is the 'voice', but as soon as Akriti says 'look BP what Gungun is doing', he says nothing, yet he could. But no, it will come back to his questions.
The question of 'will Anubav give up his family for his love' why is the mode of 'give up' chosen or even the word 'choose'?
Yes, he chooses between two cases: FAMILY or LOVE!
But he loves both, right?
In my logic I would say he chooses between his future and his past/present.
Family is important (I already talked about this in another topic so let's leave it aside) I figure Anubav won't look at the word "family", but rather at the "unfairness" of the request.
He will think that family is selfish by nature so would rather stand there and defend Akriti than listen to what HE WANTS!
For me if Anubav decides to leave it will be more a reaction to their unreasonableness than anything else.
We don't talk about Gungun and his sense of sacrifice, it's not worth it.
So I'd like to "predict" what the writers have in mind, but they have no "logic", but according to the pattern that has been thrown out since the beginning of the Mumbai track... Gungun is going to do his act again, but now I think Anubav is going to rule himself once and for all. He will not go along with his family's blackmail.
After that, it doesn't mean that Gungun will open the doors of her house to him, she would be able to say something like "I won't accept to live with you without your family's blessing" because this girl is her own enemy.
But the drama is far from over.
Akriti will let her obsession speak, Gungun will bend over backwards. And even if the family is split in two, no one will dare tell BP that he must stop his obstinacy.
Akriti and BP are alike, they love no one, they love themselves and believe that everything is theirs. This is also a reason why he is so favourable to this girl!
Anyway, it's been a long time (sorry lol), but the longer we go on, the more I find that there is no redemption for the show. The characters are a total failure!
Everything I don't like is shown! Even for a drama it's beyond comprehension!
No one sacrifices themselves to supposedly please others!
