So, basically, I wanted to say in the thread that got closed that you can't have your cake and eat it too.

You can't say something nasty and then disown that part of yourself the next day with a cop-out as convenient as "I was drunk, that's not me" to convince people that you're all peaches and cream. Especially when you've made comments along the same lines before in your "sober" state as well.

The good, the bad and the ugly -- that's all of us cuz we're all multidimensional. No one's a saint, and whoever wants to pass themselves off as a saint even after saying not-so-saintly things needs to be smacked some sense into. As an adult, you need to take ownership of everything you say and do.

To be fair, however, I do think she was ganged up on and the outrage was totally disproportionate compared to the "crime" and that might have intimidated her and pushed her into apologizing to "redeem" herself in Lord-knows-who's eyes.

That's the post mortem analysis I was itching to post but the thread was locked. Thank you, Chameli.

The personal comments on her were totally uncalled for and were much worse than what she did because it was directed toward someone they knew at least online.

With re: apology, i said what I wanted to in the threads. I started out by saying as long as HR loves Saba, it doesn't matter what others said. The response was *I highly doubt that* because *love is a heavy word.* That answer, combined with prior shenanigans suggesting HR communicating with her etc., is a sign of a problem waiting to happen. Fun and games for others, but it sounds like Minty is taking it seriously.
