Siddhi being atyabai daughter was a good twist and the episodes were good; but it affected the flow of the story as atyabai started having soft corner for siddhi and shiva was trapped between mother and daughter. Earlier I was thinking shiva might go against atyabai for siddhi but after knowing the birth truth, he trusted atyabai more as she is also siddhi’s biological mother. Due to this, I feel they added more weight to mangal’s character and I didn’t like that.

Despite all that, I like the fact that during all these high voltage drama, in parallel they showed a normal pregnancy of a serial lead with normal yet cute conversation of parents to be couple and all family members celebrating it despite the differences.

Mandar’s entry started of well, but they ruined the plot by making mandar creepy and scary. On top of that the fans, sorry to say, overreacted to every small gestures and I guess they changed the plot drastically, as I was told. Nevertheless Ashok acted so well - I always like his acting, be it in JzYp or AM or mhrw or the music videos he acted with vidula.

We were supposed to dislike the character of mandar and so we did so nothiing wrong with how the character was potrayed

why did Mandar have to be bad

he could have been good but pallavi still could have gone for the so called bad boy raghav

objections were made on how raghVi were dumbed down hw Pallavi stopped using her brains when she was at D farm

wearing saree in public area screw loose hai kya

born smart became super dumb

it was not just about mandar that was another level blunder

i hv only watched their one MV are there more?

Mehandī Hai Racanevālī has its own forum, and Ābhāḷācī Māyā has its own thread, where I've already shared my thoughts about the characters of Mandar and Jayadev. I analyzed clues that Mandar was supposed to be a sympathetic character and clues to tell us what was changed in the middle.

My impression of Siddhi being Ātyābāī's daughter is that it was a sudden creative decision, not part of the story's original concept. It could have been set up better by giving Siddhi some political activities to position her as a rival to Ātyābāī. It never made sense to me that Ātyābāī and Bhave spent all of their energy on Shiva's marriage, Sarakāra's engagement, ordering hits on everybody ... Do voters really care if the MLA's son is adopted?

The twist shook up the show, but not in a good way. Up to that point, the dynamic that Sarakāra would get into trouble and Ātyābāī would indulge him made sense because we thought he was her natural child. Ātyābāī's grief and love for her dead baby came out of nowhere. Her resentment for Siddhi making her look bad, which never created much drama, should at least have given her some internal conflict, being determined to destroy Siddhi but seeing herself in her enemy. Instead, we got Ātyābāī forgetting her resentment altogether and trying to make Siddhi her heir without openly acknowledging her.

mandar supposed to be grey shade character as per ashok’s interview but we saw a full fledge dark character. Anyways I started watching in the middle but I don’t know the need of bringing a character who wasnt liked by own mom or ex wife. His Father is a bit mad, aunt is evil. And his sisters aren’t bothered with his return too totally ridiculous screenplay. I understand fans sentiment of showing pallavi dumb but it’s not just pallavi, The truth is the whole track was illogical! No one was able to recognise raghav in disguise shows everyone was dumb actually 😃

BTW, They did 2 MVs, one is lagir, love at first sight concept, and another one amcha ganaraya - a devotional one.

I once visited the mhrw forum but couldn’t understand much, so didn’t Visit back.

Jaidev is a close to perfect character, there is nothing much to dissect. It’s a remake and It’s basically copy pasting as I’m following the original a bit here and there.

I think either siddhi or shiva being atyabai child could have been in their plan based on the screenplay. But making siddhi her child disturbed the flow. If it was shiva it would had a different impact. Thats My POV, having said that I really liked champa atyabai combo-, evil, funny and mysterious!

Anup Belwalkar who played Sagar is now on Ābhāḷācī Māyā as Ranajit. He's the husband of Maya, played by Kadambari Sanjay (Siddhi's city friend Tanvi on Jīva Zhālā Yeḍāpisā), and the son-in-law of Shalini, played by Shveta Mande (Champa).

The relationship between Sagar and Shiva could have been complex. Imagine, what if Sagar had felt concern for Siddhi at the same time as he was using Shiva to establish himself? Shiva's patience with Sagar's effort to replace him was a good buildup of dramatic tension, but imagine, wouldn't it have been good tragedy if Shiva's progress with Malini and Nandakumar had suffered a setback after he finally lost his temper and beat up Sagar?

Sagar trying to kill Shiva didn't have sufficient buildup. I expect that Ranajit (Anup Belwalkar) may try to kill Jayadev (Ashok Phal Dessai) on Ābhāḷācī Māyā, because Jayadev's sister's testimony put Ranajit in prison for deliberately running over a pregnant acquaintance with a truck.

Jayadev may have to be patient and respectful with Ranajit, just as Shiva was with Sagar, this time in the reverse situation of Jayadev's sister being engaged to Ranajit's wife's brother.

No doubt Ranajit will clash with Raghav, played by Rohit Haldikar (Ranadhir Sarakāra on Jīva Zhālā Yeḍāpisā). That will be a new dynamic between the two actors.

Ashok Phal Dessai is receiving an award today (July 19, 2022, 6:45 pm onwards):

Global Icons of India - Actor category, referencing Jeeva Jhala Yedapisa

I'm very happy to see his effort and skill recognized, and I hope he keeps on delivering heart-touching performances and receiving the recognition that he deserves.
