RRR

Magnum opus. The cinematography, special effects and editing were top notch. There's a reason why Rajamouli is lauded for his work. Ram Charan and Tarak were phenomenal. I didn't find much to complain except for the few action sequences that were a little hard to digest. Over all, a MUST watch. Pure brilliance.

5/5

The Walking Dead S10

I vacillate with the Walking Dead. On one hand, I feel the show got repetitive and egregiously violent. But on the other hand, the primal fight for survival can suck you in.

The Whisperers War was brutal and engaging. Carol was in unpredictable beast mode. Negan kept you on your feet. Alpha gave you chills. And Judith is amazing.

The bonus episodes to bridge to season 11 were dull and boring. I guess they cater to folks who wanted less violence and more character development. And while I appreciate the character development with Carol, Daryl etc - I'm here for the primal survival.

Ted Lasso S2

I found the season slower, duller, and not as feel good. It was nice to see Jamie Tartt's reformation and Sam's growth and confidence. But I wish there was more for Danny Rojas. Roy Kent also felt just like a lost angry man.

I'm torn about the Rebecca Sam relationship. I feel like it should raise red flags due to the power dynamic. But I can't help but find it sweet and satisfying. After all, they both connected after texting extensively anonymously on a dating app. It was a genuine connection.

I just hated Nathan and his arc all season. The finale made me want to punch him.

The Ted Lasso and Dr. Fieldstone dynamic was intriguing and the whole season carries the important message of mental health in sports. But the execution felt dull.

Peacemaker

The show is absolutely bizarre, bonkers, and deranged in a totally James Gunn kind of way. It treads the fine line between mind-numbingly dumb and genius to give an entertaining show. I didn't quite care for Peacemaker after he killed Rick Flagg, but he's growing on me so much. John Cena is an untapped comic talent. But holy Cormac McLaggen, Freddie Stroma is a whole new level of deadpan humor.

While it doesn't hit the high notes of THE Suicide Squad, it makes for dang good TV.

And that opening sequence!!!!

Bhool Bhulaiya 2: Storyline felt deficient for some reason. Tabu was the star in dual roles wherein she acted as the antagonist & the DIL who passed away early though I liked her role more as the antagonist in the end. Kartik did a decent job when he aided in disclosing the truth in the end as Ruhaan possessed by "Anjulika" but otherwise his other scenes were dull to observe. Kiara felt flat as usual. Storyline was dull in comparison to the first movie (Bhool Bhulaiya one). I would've liked to see a duet of Arijit & Shreya to the original Ami Je Tomar duet that Shreya sang years ago alongside MG Sreekumar because I felt this version was a bit too music heavy.

Tom Cruise earned the biggest movie launch of his career with "Top Gun: Maverick," bringing in a projected $151 million at the box office during Memorial Day... He has done the impossible - such a big opening for a non super hero movie

Anyway great review here... It has spoilers about Top Gun 1

The Flight Attendant S1

As much as I love TBBT, I am glad it ended so we can enjoy Kaley Cuoco being a hot mess as the Flight Attendant.

The alcoholic hot mess is one of the new female stock characters in suspense thrillers. It's even being parodied. But the Flight Attendant shows why this character can be so compelling and entertaining.

Cassie Bowden is erratic, impulsive, selfish, and a raging alcoholic. Her alcoholic behavior leads her to a one-night stand where she gets blackout drunk and wakes up next to the bloody corpse of her hookup. No matter what she does she keeps getting herself deeper into trouble.

She's unlikeable but her trauma both from her abusive childhood and the more recent trauma of waking next to a dead date makes her compelling and sympathetic. The show starts of slow, but once it gets going, it's a wild ride sucking you in.

Sonam Kapoor gets endlessly dissed on this forum—sometimes for her acting, sometimes just for existing in that air of fashion-girl nonchalance....
