I was actually excited by this initially but the trailer seems really meh. Also he isn’t playing the role well at all. Kinda bad tbh. Also seems like a complete xerox copy of Forrest Gump. Gonna skip this one.

I've also seen Forrest Gump. And this is less an "adaptation" and more a "copy-paste". Which is fine I guess if this is still within the scope of acquiring the rights to the film.

But since they've done essentially a copy-paste, they should place in their advertisements/trailers that this is "based off of Forrest Gump". Otherwise it gives off the vibe of an "original" film which it isn't

In the poster and trailer they are putting the writer as Eric Roth who was the original writer of FG. And then they are putting Atul Kulkulani as the one who adapted the screenplay for the Hindi version. So this looks like a copy and paste because it is and they are going by all the legal requirements.

Akshay Kumar's ANDAAZ was blatant copy of FG. Now this is an official remake. This time Aamir is just desperate. Indirectly, people used to compare him to Tom Hanks from Hollywood. Now he is trying to prove that comparison's worth. But this time he missed the bus big time.
