I say the same to my friends. Even if you don’t understand the exact word, you can somewhat get the gist of what’s being said depending on the context. Thanks to all these movies/shows, I’m getting Hindi/Urdu mixed with Farsi when speaking to family. 😆

i think when the meter gets too hot, they put a daily limit on the number of posts. So many wonderful perspectives to provide, all capped😆

I fast-forward a lot when it comes to Turkish shows. I’ll watch a 2 hour episode in 40 mins lmao. I’m only interested in the leads, so I skip straight to their scenes.

I tried watching Turkish shows in their original format, the Hayat-Murat one but that didn't work for me -- couldn't tell what was going on at all with their love-hate dynamics. 😆 I can't watch foreign anything even with English subtitles for the same reason -- it really dilutes the movie watching experience for me cuz I feel like I'm missing out on the real deal, if that makes sense at all. 🤔 Oh well.

yes, I forgot that you should be even more judicious with your posts and shouldn't wasting them on asking me silly things. 😆 No, they can't bump up your WL for chatting but I guess they can if they are having a bad day and you have been turning every thread into a chat thread, which is what I've been doing.... cuz I'm aadat se majboor.

No of course not. 😆 Afghans love Bollywood and a huge majority understand Hindi because of the films.

I prefer subtitles in both English and Hindi movies and shows too. But I understand both even if there were no subtitles, and that makes all the difference. The subtitles are for the parts when I space out and miss what they said so I just look below instead. 😆 I don't like missing a single beat when I'm really into something.

If they dub foreign movies without editing the content, I can watch them just fine. :) Which isn't the case with Turkish dramas, so I have to make do with immaculate conception in the Urdu dubbed versions. 😆
