Turkish shows are 2 hours each episode! They have good romance for the romance lovers but it’s just so long winded. Though I would recommend Hercai and Black & White love for anyone interested.

oh that was one of the few times in my life I watched Paki shows. I started off trying to humor my guest who wanted to watch them, but started enjoying them while they were on. I think it was the novelty factor.

No, of course not ... would never expect anything other than gentlemanly behavior from you, nope. never. 😆

I'll let the rest be cuz the topic has already gone haywire and I am trying to be a law abiding citizen after yesterday.

what happened yesterday? Did you have too much to drink? Or too little?😆

Turkish shows are interesting too after you exhaust yourself with Pakistani dramas ... the only two I've watched so far are the Hayat Murat one and the one with Can Yaman. You already know why. 😆

Of course I know why. You and I look at things from the same lens. 😆

Do you struggle with the language? I find that some people find it hard to understand Urdu because of some differences with the phrases.

True and true. Immaculate conception in Pakistani shows are too conservative for me too .... I can't even tell when *it* happened. I see them suddenly act touchy feely and apparently that's the biggest clue that they already rolled in the hay. 😆 Urdu dubbed Turkish dramas have the same problem cuz they blur out everything that looks even slightly "indecent" cuz they don't wanna scandalize the masses.

True also about Turkish dramas dragging way too much in between.... with merry go around plots they don't really need. I couldn't finish the show with Can Yaman for that reason. I can only handle so many push and pull's until I drop the whole thing.

I get most of it.... and what one doesn't get, one infers. 😆Given that we originally came from there, there are aspects that have percolated down to us over the ages.... including some urdu

That’s why I watch Turkish shows in their original format. I feel like blurring out the scene or cutting it off entirely ruins the whole show. Sometimes they’ll just pan the camera to some random flower and you’ll just have to assume that some hanky panky is going on. 😆

I fast-forward a lot when it comes to Turkish shows. I’ll watch a 2 hour episode in 40 mins lmao. I’m only interested in the leads, so I skip straight to their scenes.

I don't drink, so there was no booze involved. But I have been too "chatty" in some threads that weren't meant to be chatty, so some of my posts were handpicked and dumped to the chat thread. The message I got was that I need to be less chatty, so I'm trying to adopt brevity as a new way of my e-life. 😆
