Trailblazers Innings Brief

🔸First 5 overs

41 Runs, 1 wicket, 0 Extras

2.3 ovrs: Smriti Mandhana c Bahadur b Cross 1 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20

Cross to Mandhana, OUT

And there's the first wicket! Big wicket of Smriti Mandhana! Short of a good length delivery around the leg stump. She spots the length early and rocks back to play the pull. She couldn't time the pull well and ended up playing the shot straight into the hands of the fielder, Simran, at deep midwicket

🔹6-10 overs

TRL: 86/1 ; CRR: 8.60

Boundaries: 4️⃣, Sixes: 2️⃣

45 Runs, 0 Wicket, 1 Extra (as no ball)

Last wicket: Smriti Mandhana c Bahadur b Cross 1 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20

🔸11-15 overs

TRL: 128/2 ; CRR: 8.53

Boundaries: 2️⃣, Sixes: 2️⃣

42 Runs, 1 Wicket, 1 Extra( as wide)

14.3 ovr: Sabbhineni Meghana c Cross b Rana 73 (47b 7x4 4x6) SR: 155.31

Rana to Meghana, OUT

Length ball outside the off stump. This time she makes a mistake in going through with the stroke as the line was closer to the stumps. Not enough room to free her arms. She mistimes the lofted stroke to Kate Cross at long off. She was superb down the ground today. She got 44 of her 73 runs down the ground

🔹Last 5 overs

TRL: 190/5 ; CRR: 9.50

Boundaries: 7️⃣ , Sixes: 2️⃣

62 Runs, 3 Wickets , 1 Extra

16.6 ovr: Jemimah Rodrigues c Rana b Khaka 66 (44b 7x4 1x6) SR: 150

Khaka to Rodrigues, OUT

Back of the hand slower ball down the leg stump line. Jemimah wants to go with the sweep but is beaten by the lack of pace as she ends dragging it to Sneh Rana at short fine-leg. Finally Sneh Rana manages to hold on to one!

19.4 ovr: Sophia Dunkley c Yadav b Bahadur 19 (8b 2x4 1x6) SR: 237.5

Bahadur to Dunkley, OUT

Fuller and wider outside the off stump. She comes down the track and mistimes the loft stroke as it was too far from her and she had to reach out to play the stroke. Radha Yadav, who dropped an easy catch earlier off Simran, puts it a dive forward after coming running in and completes a superb catch

19.6 ovr: Hayley Matthews c Chantham b Bahadur 27 (16b 4x4 0x6) SR: 168.75

Bahadur to Matthews, OUT

Short ball outside the off stump. She comes down the track and looks to play a lofted stroke She gets an outside edge to short third-man where the catch is taken.

-----------------------

TRL : 190/5( 20 ovrs)

Target -----> 191 for Team Velocity

Trailblazers have posted the highest score ever of Women's T20 Challenge and would need to restrict Velocity to 158 or less.
