honestly speaking i wont even blame the makers entirely for this mess. for me makers r partially at fault and also the crap trp system. unfortunately the hit or flop of a show is determined over the trp system. but in this modern era ppl r switching from tv to online. there r more organic audience there n they should be the target audience so this trp system should be scrapped off. perfect example is the IPL. it used to have very high trp but this year its trp hit the lowest low, was IPL this bad this time?! Not really, it was because a lot of audience already switched to online viewers for Jio and Hotstar increased a lot.
And back to BALHs2. This show WAS genuinely good and watched by many ppl. The fact it always maintains its top 10 ranking online says that. And when the show was at its highest phase i.e Diwali track the show even found itself in top 3 of online ratings. If online rating was the main indicator the show would have been very different today!
Makers need money. And they get that via trp and with that they pay the actors, writers, director and other creatives n ppl involved. So their aim is to get as much trp as they can!
The show really showed a lot of progressive track and tried to continue that, I am surprised they managed to do that till 100+ episodes but sadly couldnt continue it further. Also nowadays its very easy to switch to other shows and series there are many options unlike years back. So ofc fans will very easily lose interest. Ppp have very high expectations too.
Also this is a sequel it was not easy to be a hit like the first one. Though the trp doesnt say so but it did create a strong unique fan base like the first season just look at social media and online ratings, even got some of s1 viewers on board(usually fans of first season r not very welcoming to the sequels when there is a diff cast)
And gonna be really honest here. The show did showed positive tracks but they didnt get the trp they wanted, they tried. So they had to go with the negative way. Honestly I dont think its gonna help them, the fans look really mad. But trp aunties i dont get their taste.
I just hope the show ends within a month or two max cause its kinda sad to see fans leaving the show like this which started so well! Even the actor and actress look clueless and they even dont have anything to say to justify whatever is happening. The show got the start and response it deserveed(not trp) but sadly didnt deserve this ending.
