Well first of all it's a Balaji show, Ekta has that talent of creating magic among the leads where viewers get infatuated until both fall in love and consummate then starts the actual drama like the separation/ misunderstanding of the lead and assassination of the male lead character making him puppet ,any show of Balaji you take it's the same genre and same story continues like history repeats...

What started as a casual dinner time show became an addiction soon. I never intended to watch an ITV show and nor do I in future. But I don`t know what pulled me into this. My sister and my mother started watching this during dinner and therefore we had to watch it. It started with me comparing BALH1 and BALH2 and basically saying the latter can`t pull it off.

But very soon I realized the chemistry of the leads is fantastic, beautiful, charismatic and serene (and whatever adjectives you can think of) and that is what pulled me into this show.

I realized that Disha and Nakul`s chemistry was something which was never seen on Indian television and I can very confidently say that this type of chemistry isn`t even found in Bollywood films now a days.

At least I haven`t seen such a mesmerizing chemistry even in Bollywood in a very very long time. The leads had the power to pull a non-romantic, hard core analytical guy like me who spends most of his day making forecasts, estimates, strategy and numbers into them. I never realized when these 20 minutes became an addiction and I made it a point to watch it every day. Even if my meeting ended 12 AM or 1 AM at night, I thought lets watch it for these 2 and it is worth it - Its just 20 minutes.

When Ram`s goofiness and Priya`s innocence and khadoospan met, it created magic on our TV screens every weeknight. When Nakul`s flamboyance and Disha`s serenity/calmness met, it created happiness on screens. TRPs might not have said it, Awards might not have recognized it but these 2 are surely the best actors in the tv industry. Period !

They both pulled it off superbly. Hats off to the them and Cheers !

8 PM will never be the same for me !! I will miss these two. I will now not wait for any sneak peaks, any segments. All that excitement is gone !!

So my request to anyone on this forum who has the power to reach out to CVs, please reach out to them and request them not ruin this show just for these 2 fantastic actors.

Awww, Yashpa, you have often got on my nerves, but I'm so with you on this.

Cvs ain't bothered. There's an arrogance about maiyya and her team that makes them imagine only they know best. If anyone were to disagree or stand against the so-called czarina of itv, they'd be out. And that includes the actors.

We all knew what we were getting into. That's why I stopped watching regularly and stayed updated through BTS and clips. But I started watching from the beginning some time ago, and it's really tragic to compare what was to what is.

They had iconic leads. Not just the characters, but the actors, who surprised me after I'd last seen them in PKD (there, they were so...ordinary. Only one I liked was Mansi, so it was quickly dumped). But here, OMG! I have honestly never seen such growth in actors. Disha, particularly, was awesomely good.

They had great to competent supporting actors (shout out to Shubhavi and Ajay (? the guy who plays Adi--I've been noticing him particularly in my viewing). The strangely likable characters like Shubu and Shashi, and even Shivina and Akki eventually. Alas, they also had that annoying Meera and Sara, but I'll take Sara over Meera, whom I've always disliked intensely, and the more obviously villainous MS and SheWeShallNotNamed.

I feel for everyone who feels cheated and let down, but I think if you choose a cut-off point (whichever point the story/acting started degrading, according to you), you can wean yourself off by watching the glory days.

I have never seen what seem like obituaries written for a show before it goes offair.

The best (curses) to maiyya and her team.

They were cute, they sure had a good chemistry but I didn't feel that pull. Then almost after a decade I saw them back again on TV. The promos were eye catchy and their chemistry was unlike what I had seen in PKDH. Yet I was skeptical to give it a shot coz all the shows on ITV off late disappoint. Infact I don't even watch TV anymore and even on streaming platforms, I just watch precap of few shows. Not interested to watch the entire episode. But then I end up catching up on few RaYa scenes from Youtube and I felt compelled to give it a try. In a matter of hours I was hooked. I never imagined NM and DP would become my fav pair coz having seen their previous show, I had a fair idea what I could expect. But boy they blew me away. I fell in love with them despite not having watched all episodes. And then most importantly this forum. I know its been few weeks but I feel compelled to frequent this place often. Everyone is so sweet, no negativity other than bashing the CVs for all the right reasons. I will watch it till I can and quit like my other shows. But for once I dared to hope there can be a show that is different from other shows and decided to give it a go. Its hardly been two months and I am contemplating quitting it 😭

Ditto, Ditto to almost everything you say. Those wretched promos were so good, it was the triumph of hope over experience that I started watching. Couldn't believe these were the same actors from PKD.

I don't understand WHY tv serial makers do this time and again. Why would you ruin something that could be gold by tarnishing it with outdated tropes and unimaginative copycatting to downright sadistic mauling. It's obvious the leads have either lost interest or have had the essence stripped from them, especially Priya. To me, that's sacrilege, because she was such a great character (not in the Great tv Bahu sense, thank God).

How shameful for the industry that they can't even try to do better.

You are so right ! I still don`t understand the logic behind separation though ! So when BALH1 had a leap it was already doing a lot better than BALH 2 in terms of TRPs. So if those sadists (Maiyaa and her team) wanted to feel the separation (which is their fetish I guess and I pity them on this as it shows what kind of creativity they have), it would have made sense because it would have been financially viable for channel and production house due to okay TRPs. But now, BALH 2 is deep deep down in terms of TRPs and surely its going to be 0 when RAYA are separated. So ye separation ka junoon hai ki kya hai? This is an obsession and a bad one.

And I want to also call out the moderators on this forum who have time and again warned me to not criticize Mukta Dhond as she is a real person. I mean this lady on a daily basis abuses our prime minister publicly by using words like clown etc and spreading false agenda against India too in her IG status. Whether you like him or not, he is still the PM of this country and has been elected fair and square by the people.

Agar behen apne kaam ke baare me sochti to BALH would have easily been a masterpiece/

But we cannot criticize her even for the shit she is doing. That`s hypocrisy at its best !

Bold - so now does that mean... u wouldn't rant on the show?😭 , I love commenting on your post, it's fun😆

Anyways.... I'll keep hope, I may not watch it at all times, but, There is still a sliver of hope left in me, till then I keep myself updated

Well I will do that but I need some motivation - atleast a ray of hope i.e. some clue that RAYA will be together. LEAP, kid is fine with me bas separation na ho😆

Are separation ho na ho inko karna vahi hai jisse log dekhna chord de 🤷 to hum kyu sir dard kare.

I have always enjoyed your rants as they made me laugh out loud, and sometimes gave very detailed analysis of some situations and sometimes i even felt like saying means things to you as well but i feel you and many more on this forum.

I had a heartbreaking breakup with this show 10 some episodes ago around the alibaug drama i realised I can't continue to watch this crapfest anymore. Many on the forum has already stopped watching for 2-3 weeks and plan to not ever watch unless they bring back the initial magic of first 3 months back. Otherwise it is a permanent bye to the team. And best wishes to every actor of the show, i hope they get better project to work on.

I hope maiyya and team can achieve the endeavours they are trying so hard to get, i.e., cancelling of the show and ruining the brand BALH. Not only they have made a joke of themselves but have dragged an awesome cast into this mud.

Such good opportunity lost bcz they don't want to come out of their old shell of thoughts and process.

I literally had a very painfull separation with the show, i wanted to keep watching for nakuul but this screenplay and shitty writing is not tolerable anymore. But I'm finally in my peaceful and zen mode after i ripped the band-aid off in a flash. I would suggest the same to everyone on the forum. Save yourself these 20 mins and watch something better until they decide to improve.

The only reason i still visit this forum is the connections i have made with people over the last few months.
