It's the makers I think.
Remember Tirchi u made a post once , I don't remember which EDT , about what would have been their thought process when giving birth to this story and characters.
Copy Priya from ZGH, make her a man hater.
Make Ram a successful business man . lonely n exploited by step family.
Now how willl Ram n Priya meet, give Priya a brother etc etc etc.
This show was always made as a shortcut from a business point of view . Use the brand name of og BALH , get a good cast, copy paste FL from ZGH , but beyond that they had no vision on how to take the story forward. No solid script ready even for the first 50 episodes.
It was never made dil se like EK said. We never got the simple scenes of promo like Ram Priya chit chatting in the balcony discussing rain , and munching pakoras.
I was thinking of re watching the BALH2 episodes. But then when I check the episodes list, I was like what should I re watch .
The show had no solid script after prenup contract signing. There is literally nothing for me to re watch .
The stupid prawn drama starts from RaYa marriage , followed with annulment drama , paneer drama.
3 good episodes during Diwali and boom comes Vedika .
Makers had no idea how to handle this, thela kaand, kachori kaand all cliche tracks used.
Vedika Kaand over ,boom comes accident kaand.
They didn't know how to execute this, messed up all the timelines and changed Sara's entire family history, roped the actor Krish and told him about the possibility of love triangle , then did not understand how to use him in the story, everything is so chaotic now that they themselves don't know how to clean up the mess.
Makers of any show would normally try and experiment different tracks to check what gives TRP, but in case of BALH2 I don't see any experiments.
It is the same loop since ages. Few RaYa moments surrounded by illogical never ending negativity .
TRPs reached 0.7 once and was around 0.6 during the initial episodes. For past many months , it has been fluctuating between 0.4 and 0.5 .
So I think overall this show is neither catering to saas bahu audience nor the online audience .
So probably they r thinking , let us make it a proper saas bahu show, bring in separation, or kid, bring in tragedy , appeal to the emotions of audience and try to save the show ??
My only issue is, they could have given at least one genuine chance to cater the og intended audience for whom the show was made.
It is not difficult to give 100 good episodes matching the vibes of the promos , reach a saturation point after squeezing everything possible from the love story and then try leap kid etc etc.
All SonyTV shows have good writing, realistic clean execution . Having watched 3 good sonytv shows Kuch rang s1, EDKV s1, YUKBH , all of them had a solid script and YUKBH managed to get really good TRP's as well without any typical melodrama. In comparison to the quality of those shows BALH2 is really a sub standard product. No continuity between scenes, weird editing, focus on everything other than the leads etc etc .
The makers of this show seem to be not interested in bringing in quality content. They r exploiting RaYa chemistry and dragging the show , without doing hard work on the quality of writing, editing , direction etc etc .
Like why will they take the entire cast on an outdoor shoot in Alibaug , and still not give nice meaningful scenes on a beach , or anything outdoor.
Instead the stupid fish curry drama. What was the need for that weird black color party the previous day?
I think they genuinely don't know how to write continuous scenes. Koi itne bure ajeeb illogical scenes kaise likh sakta hai ? Like kaise ??
I haven't watched og BALH, but based on whatever I have read here about the beautiful tracks of that show, BALH2 hasn't delivered even 1/4th of the og show. They really better shut down the show than cause more embarrassment by deteriorating the quality further . Sigh !!
