There is terrible news for Shaheer Shiekh fans; as per sources, Star Bharat honchos noticing Woh Toh Hai Albelaa’s low ratings might pull the plug on the show.

Woh To Hai Albelaa made by well-known production house DKP is rating just 0.2, which is not consummate to the heavy investment in the show.

The source goes on. ” There is nothing wrong with the show, as seen with the vast online traction. The problem is more with the platform; Star Bharat has a very low GRP. No other show on the channel is working as well.”

“It would be sad to see the show go for the story is good, and Shaheer and his co-star Kinshuk Vaidya and Hiba Nawab have worked hard. Anuj Sachdev had also done a remarkable job as the now-dead third brother.” added the source.

The source further chimed, “Ideally speaking, Star and Rajan must have been aware of the pitfalls of going with Star Bharat; guess they thought Shaheer might be the kickstart which Star Bharat needs”
“Guess now they have to clean up the mess. if the show ends, producer Rajan Shahi will suffer heavy losses.”
In closing source ruled out any shift to only digital, Albela given its huge canvas is meant only for the TV

For a while, there was speculation that Star network might shift the show to Star Plus, given its vast reach, but alas, that was not to be

Rajan Shahi seems to accept the inevitable with the following.

They better shut down the channel and shift WTHA to the 11 pm slot on SP. SB was Life Ok previously a Star entity. This channel gained recognition from Dil Se Dua Saubhaagya Vati Bhava and later Devon ka dev Mahadev

Those days it was a free channel and there was no pack system. Till 2018-19 it had it's subscribers. With tariff revision, their subscription base is eroded. Plus SP, Zee, Colors have started their own regional Networks so who is going to watch repetitive stories.

Disney should revamp Star One with finite stories or follow a season based format approach

BEST OF LUCK NIKKI, KYY (MTV) DID VERY WELL with limited episodes.

The reach is very less. At the most SB may give RS a 40 or 50 episodes extension.

He faced a similar situation with Yrkkh when Disney forced him to adapt Ichche Nodee in his flag ship show. The story line of the Bangla OG is equally regressive. it worked with Bengali audience because of the actors. The ML and vamp were fantastic.

RS totally ruined Yrkkh because of SP. Abhi kaise bhi chala raha hai.

WTHA has a chance if shifted to the parent network. Though Gossip TV has reported that 3 new shows are coming on main channel so dont know whether SP is going to oblige

For a national GEC a min of 1.6 trp

is required to survive
