Actually there is person jiske parents usse bahut pyaar karte hai...sab kuch diya unhe...every possible thing jo vo de sakte the... But circumstances aise bane ki jiss personality ko unke bacchon mai unhone hii develop kiya...jiss rights ko unhone hii unhe diya ab vo uss rights ko question kar rahe...ussi personality par sawal utha rahe regret kar rahe ki unko aisa nahi karna chahiye tha...ab bacchon ki to usme koi galti nahi hai ye vo bhi jaante hai.. Bas situation vaise hai..to vo Frustated hai...Par unhone uss frustation mai unko bahut kuch bol diya... To kya iss situation mai unhone thik kiya...kya parents sahi hai ki agar bacche uss right ka use kar rahe jo unhone aaj tak unhe diye...yaa yuu kahu ki uss aazadi ka apni soch ka use kar rahe....to kya parents ko ye right hai ki vo unhe question kar sakte hai unhe hurt kar sakte hai...ya hume parents ki majboori ko bhi dekhna chahiye...unke aaj tak ke sacrifice love ko dekhte hue unko iss situation mai bhi sahi manna chahiye ki hume vo hurt kar sakte hai.....🙄

Generalize nahi kar sakti tum isse...each and every situation HAS to be seen thru the lens of its context, otherwise it does not make sense.

Chalo let me give a fictional example. Let's take Anupama's situation. Supposing Vanraj says something to his children which hurts them VS Anupama saying something...can you treat them equally? Is their situation, relationship, stress etc not different in case of Vanraj as opposed to Anu? Also, whether the words were said to Toshu or Pakhi will also make a difference bcoz Pakhi is younger and hence may not have the maturity to handle the implications.

That's what I am trying to say...It is the context and circumstances which give meaning to any action or reaction.

Nobody is perfect, I am also learning. It does sometimes help to put your thoughts out and ask others opinions. Sometimes, it just strengthens your convictions when you hear the same response from others. If not, you just get to see another perspective.

Let me try and put things in perspective -

So what you are saying is that your friend (or whoever) seems to have been brought up with a lot of love and care, may even be indulged and has been raised to be independent and free thinking. However, there seems to have arisen a situation which your friend questioned and parents are nor happy with it, and in their own frustration said something to the child which hurt them. Have I understood correctly?

Here also my answer would depend on the same questions. Is this the first time the parents have said something hurtful to the child or they do it on a daily basis? What is the gravity of the situation which led to otherwise loving parents to question their own upbringing?

Your friend has every right to be hurt...it is natural to feel so. Maybe they should sit down with the parents and tell them how they felt.

But every child should also keep in mind one thing - at the end of the day, parents are also human beings, they are not perfect! As children, we give ourselves a lot of leeway but with parents we are quick to expect, judge and condemn
