My take.. small attempt on the symbolism in small nuances..

She walked alone towards the mandap - showing she overcoming the hurdles in life by herself. Ofcourse some helped her, but at the end it was her who had walked the path.

Toshu never gave her the deserved respect and today he put out his palm for her to walk. They gave their mother a send off worthy a princess..

Anuj calling out her name to look up - he was always there with her to show her the path and always will be..

Anupama dancing for Anuj - she is no longer shy or afraid to show her feelings for him in front of anyone..

no matter what life throws.. riches or rags, she just wants his companionship..nothing else.

I am very curious about rituals in general. I don't like to follow blindly so I trouble my elders a lot with my questions or sometimes I get my own meaning out it. Those rituals they showed today, its just my own interpretation for those but I think it makes sense.

Gujaratis have 4 fera. 3 fera groom walks in front of bride and for the fourth one bride comes in front. That last fera is for anything bad happens e.g. death then she will be in front of him, that's her promise to husband.

I read somewhere that even rajasthani, punjabis have 4 fera only.

Same.. I love to learn about different cultures and rituals too.. I ask the meaning/science behind rituals and all before following..but as I said I haven't been to marriages much so don't have any clue there..

Everything was perfect today.. a completely happy episode..

I just hope they give us a kaand free wedding.. bidaai and grihpravesh hojane do..even SR.. phir next day se surely there are gonna be new problems but let the wedding be worth the wait.. and aage bhi give us blissful stolen moments from their married life ❤

When groom comes with baarat, bride's mother feeds him sweets and in between tries to pull his nose. It's as if to tell him that if he troubles the bride then bride's mom will set him straight!

Another ritual is where bride's brother puts his hand down for sister to walk. Noone really walks on but just barely touch brother's palm and walk on.

This to show the groom how bride has been pampered by her family and they don't even let her walk on floor let alone do all the household work.

Just thought of sharing with u all.
