~The Groom~

By the seashore lived a kind little lad who loved to build castles on the sand. Everyday he left his home and came to play in the sand. One fine day, he heard a beautiful voice. He had an urge to follow it and he did. He found a beautiful young girl drawing by the sand and fell in love. Being a very shy little lad, he hid himself behind the rocks and watched her hum away as her fingers drew pretty little dreams on the sand. Everyday she came and he watched her shooing away any danger that dared to come her way. His love grew stronger with the days and he decided One day to let her know. That day, it rained, the sea raged and lightning split the sky. The next day, when he went to see her, she was gone and so were her pictures. He searched for her everywhere by the shore for days but he never could find her. One day, his friend said she had gone away with the new guy from the nearby village. Heartbroken, he left the shore holding on to her little ribbon, the one she had forgotten by the shore, the day before the storm. He went on to build beautiful castles on seashores far and wide but decided to never come back for the memory of his girl was too painful to bear. Though his body roamed the seven seas, his soul remained tied to her. His castles gave him everything he could ever desire but her. Destiny decided to call him back when his dear friend called him and let him know she no longer belonged to the guy from the village. He ran back homeward leaving all his castles just to see her. Though he was known all over the world for building castles, he found it was a mountainous task to build a castle in her heart. But he didn't give up. With kindness, honesty, gentleness, goodness, respect, love and all the good traits he is made up with, he was able to build a beautiful castle brick by brick and as love would have it... He finally had his way and that is how he is sitting here... in front of you all as the Groom... Anuj Kapadia.

This is very beautiful, heartfelt and emotional!

Absolutely loved the analogies!
