Finally an actual response. I think there is too much anti-Aishwarya bias here which is why this movie is not given its due.

I'm glad Filmfare give this movie the respect it deserved since the National Film Awards failed to recognize SRK, Aish, and Madhuri.

In other news: Devdas is a classic. ❤️ It's popularity and stature has held strong over the years. It's one of those films that must be watch at least once. Although I didn't love it the first time I watched it in the cinema on a steaming hot day in sticky London with my mommy and didibhai 🤪

I hope I never get to a point in life where I'm celebrating movie anniversaries

Also, there's hardly anything 'celebratory' about this film. Perhaps, except for the acting and the spectacular set design.

Wow, I really wish you told us in advance. I would've requested the day off to commence celebration for the 20th anniversary of this movie. I'm sorry we disappointed you.

still only watch madhuri and srk scenes, such a shame there weren't that many. I almost felt kiron kher had more screen time. but the memorable part of the movies are srk and of course madhuri songs. I felt ash and srk had no chemistry in this movie, especially in the later scenes. I think it was slb's direction that focused more on the decor and clothes than on the actors.

The truth is I wanted to celebrate. I sent SRK, Madhuri, and Aish an invite to dinner and they declined. They said they are having dinner with someone else that night and the best they could do is send me a cutout of them. Only after coming to this thread did I realize that YOU are the reason they said no to my dinner. I just can't believe it. I am shocked.
