hahaah

In haldi function, bride used to wear very simple and not so much expensive dress; bcoz it is to given as daan after function.

Here, after criticism from FD for Mehndi function, I think makers have given something trendy to Anu first time.

Anupama got some cheque of some lacs na plus Anuj also won 2 contracts. Also they saved on budget by renting one room of Shah House during mehndi. Oh Mehndi se yaad aya they saved on that also. Middle class wali mehndi lagwai thi. Toh thore paise save ho gaye. But dont worry Anuj will come in Auto/rickshaw or by walking in his baarat. Till then sabke paas paise khatm ho jayenge

I think .. now it is common for bride to wear expensive clothes.. I have attended 2 functions in last 4-5 months and bride n groom wore good expensive lehenga n sherwani for haldi too... bride wore all flowery jewellery.. so it is quite common in north india now..

Also the ritual of combined haldi and bride & groom applying mehendi to each other with lots of dance and beautiful decorated setup... It's all very common these days.

I would say these days such steps are kinda normal too (atleast have been in the weddings I have seen and attended). But to be fair I haven’t really attended an extremely conservative wedding yet.

Disclaimer: these are majorly North Indian weddings. From the few South Indian weddings I have seen/attended, they are mostly simple when compared to the taam jhaam that happens up north or even in Bombay.

Mostly south Indian weddings are very simple and take place during day time but North Indian weddings at night with light, band baaja barat.

I attended a North Indian grand wedding; there were camels, elephants, 101 pandits, and crackers, no idea in lakhs I think.

South Indian believe in simplicity, I feel; they spend money on gold

yess. since ! or 2 yrs, it has been common. All is the influence of ITV only . I suppose.😆

Thankfully, Now life is normal;

The last 2 years were very tough bcoz of the corona, no outing, no function, siblings se bhi mile hue jamana ho gaya tha.

I never liked show off and spending too much on the wedding

but now I think these functions, and festivals really enrich our lives.

There is nothing about middle or upper class. Its about the families and nature of a couple.. Though this is normal. I have alot in my family..

they are smart. They save for future.

Humare yahaan toh saara paisa goes in live food stations. Usmein bhi paneer ki subzi toh zyaada tar logon ko pasand nahi aati and desserts ki variety toh kam pad hi jaati hai. Hum kaafi ajeeb hai. 😏😂

Seriously,

It was the Wedding of the son of a well known jeweler ,

Shilpa Shetty and Satish Kaushik were also there

For every lady (laden with diamonds) in that family, there was a bouncer.
