In short he always felt emasculated by men who stand their ground in front of him. Like satyakam and Aryan.
Even though he felt jealous of prakash/sunder (even Nishant, I'm not sure about this one) before but not threatened that imlie will chose them over him
TBH, more than jealousy or insecurity (on which I do 100% agree with your points) what sealed it for me was the IMMENSE lack of trust, faith in the relationship.
It's just....incomprehensible to me that the sight that Aditya saw would convince him of an affair. It's SUCH a leap. It makes me think he never really trusted Imlie.
Not to go into my own life history and bore you, but I've grown up watching my parents be extremely secure in their relationship, laughing at their couple friends who get suspicious over all kinds of things, get anxious about male-female friendships, etc, and mom always drilled in my head that if you don't trust your partner to not cheat on you, break up because the relationship is doomed.
And that's kind of what I hear in my head when I see this fiasco play out. Forget Aryan, Aryan is irrelevant. How little faith does Aditya have in his own wife here? He knows what marriage means to her- he knows how much she's endured because of how she values the sanctity of marriage. Yet, it takes SO LITTLE to make him think she's cheating? And this while he's trying to seek forgiveness for not trusting her when she said she didn't attempt to kill the pregnant mother of his child. Yikes.
Not a man worth being anyone's partner.
