there is no sense and there never will be. What is the message they are trying to show here? Ok to be an abuser because your own family will not object? Ok to be a spectator of the abuse for close to 3 decades and still be respected? Respect your abusers without thinking? Don’t respect the love someone has had for 3 decades? Give up on your (non existent) self respect for abusers and continue serving them? Plait pulling to show women empowerment like Kuch ukhaad liya?
I get the emo drama. I get it. Putting forward the shaadi cancellation is just so 90s so get that. Again I’m ok with the drama angle here but not this crass and the return of baddua.
Also they have 2.5 weeks to kill before the ipl finale. The least they could have done is dragged the date a bit (shown some sort of continuation from college to romantic date) and extended the dances a bit. The audience that they’ll lose in these 15+ days of crass will be much more than the insane level of obsession they have for one person. Good luck to them!
i think you just made me realize something. when we first started watching Anupamaa, it fell into quality programming with a social message. im not saying that it was National Geographic, but there was substance.
unfortunately, after anuj's character was introduced that love angle took off like mad and they made the decision to take the show to trashy tv (akin to bold and beautiful or Y&R).
let's call a spade a spade here - the TRPs were much higher before Anuj and really and truly this story did not need a love angle. at least not at that stage. i was happy watching it just to see her power thru all of the bs. or maybe anuj needed to stay her friend a little longer?
not sure, but its hard to believe that the same people who gave us the first year and half of this show are the ones writing it now.
but i guess this is the timeline of every single ITV show ever that is not finite from the get go
