That said, we stuck around in IF mainly because it got such fun shooting the breeze over the stupidity we were seeing and to a lesser extent a bit of (misplaced if I may say so myself) loyalty towards seeing the completion of the story that had gotten us all together

I didn't venture in for a decade after until this story reeled me back in.

And now it's the EDT chatter that keeps me in more than the series on many days. Chatting with some like minded peeps, references from other shows, laughing over the nonsense being served..I'm still in 😃❤️

@bold:
They (CV’s) never cease to amaze me. Has anybody put a gun to their head and asked them to make a series. I assume they are in a creative profession for the love of it, it is not a 9-6 routine desk job that the monotony has got the best of them. Assuming it must give one immense pleasure to see the work they do take shape and bring the story to life.

How on earth do they even think of such plots or sub plots. It is their story, their imagination, so they are the ones in control of the continuity, progress and ending.

This constant oscillation between love birds to as doodle said who art thou… touch me not… how can they even think of having scenes like these that are absurd and make no sense. Even if you had them for God sake don’t say now that they consummated…

I mean do they even watch the crap they produce to knock some sense into them.

So the larger question is why question the audience’s intelligence, you are also blessed with some grey matter too, it is protected by the skull, eat some almonds if you have memory issues or at least watch the previous episode to maintain some continuity and justify the previous actions of the characters.

Why do you need a backlash to correct such blunders, you should not make them in the first place considering this is your job, we don’t need to teach the basics to you.

Making consummation an unintentional mystery definitely is an AAURTTT (Art) and sending the audiences on a wild goose chase to figure out when it happened… is NEXT LEVEL AAURTTT, something unparalleled. And mastered only by BALHe creatives.

I would like to thank them for keeping us busy and giving us food for thought…

CANNOT FORGIVE them for for the mess they created of the love story and making the very characters we love into dumb asses, especially because they claim to be “Creatives” and sell their art to us, the least they can do is not to use too much brains and make usual bland stuff that does not insult their job title.

Long rant, sorry for this, but reading they are correcting it seems like going to a 5 star restaurant and teaching the chef how to make their chef special.

I may not stop watching, but I haven’t watched it for a week and still do not feel the urge or desperation to catch up is a good sign, means I am not addicted to the show, but to the forum I am :)

This has become an aspiration all show for the CV’s after exploring Romance, comedy, tragedy, suspense both intentional and unintentional, they now want to explore horror… don’t be surprised if you see VK is white clothes a few episodes later…

P.S: intended genre was Romance … suspense has both intentional and unintentional elements, VK’s murder mystery was intentional, unintentional or shall I say special creative touch was the consummation mystery…they did it … they did not… to when did they do it.. was the master stroke.

As I have maintained, the writers and everyone included, the PH and Sony, and, of course, actors, are equally to be blamed. Of course, we cannot be BIASED on anyone. Just because we love someone doesn't mean they get a FREE PASS from us. I am not calling out the female lead as responsible because she is not and I meant she might be one of the reasons. Many things happen in our personal lives that affect our decision. I just provided a reason for it. I am SORRY if that offended you; it was not my intention.

How the actors do their romantic scenes is not the audience's prerogative. They ARE paid for it. They are not willingly portrayed to satisfy us. There are many actors who will follow if the story demands it. I don't know any of them personally so I cannot speak for them.

Coming to the absurdity of the story, when the makers can deliver us a pathbreaking story and treatment of the scenes in the first fifty episodes, then they are capable of doing it again. Why is that not maintained was my sole question to them? When you promise a story, then stick to it. The TRP will automatically follow.

As per the C&C is concerned, I believed Pri as a character who would NOT want any man to touch her without him, and especially her, voicing their feelings first. Yes, Ram has voiced and so I don't blame him for wanting to move forward in their relationship. But, Pri? I think now that I actually never understood her. Allowing a man to enter your body without you confirming your feelings towards him is outright puzzling to me, be it a love marriage or an arranged marriage. Is this what happens in arranged marriages? Really? I had no idea and I am appalled at this thought! No offense to anyone! Just my belief.

I don't think any audience wanted any liplock here. The audience is MAD because there was no continuation after their consummation. For a marital relationship, that is the last step in physical proximity and after that no one, I repeat no one, would be awkward when her husband would come close. No one would flinch. Either partner will never want to avoid the other one. This discontinuity is what has IRKED the whole audience collectively.

Everyone is educated in the team - PH, Channel, Actors. At least someone from that whole team could have objected to the discontinuity? But alas, no one cares to rectify their absurdity!

thanks Doodle, I posted my rant before reading this.

@bold: you have nailed it, cannot agree more. Very apt and well written 👏

Buddy, it is what it is. Someone write after meals and the director sleeps at work, do you expect a masterpiece here? I don’t understand ITV at all, but looking at the popularity of Naagin, the end audience based on whom TRPs are generated must have already been understood that Raya has consummated and within few days, Ram announces his wife’s pregnancy is accepted… How long Priya will remain pregnant will be their worry unlike us who are still figuring out whether the so called C ever happened … Damage is done, they must have got used to our blacklashes.. I am sure all involved have really developed thick skin over their career path and our criticisms may not even matter to them …

Hey feel free to vent anytime..we're here to listen 🤗

I know nothing about how this works but imagine the original plot idea that they get started with is the premise that hooks us in. Then commercial considerations come in and they start to stretch it with additional plotlines and sidetracks to be able to carry the series on for longer. Much of this seems to be on- the- go which is why it feels patchy.

They cater to such a wide demographic that what doesn't work for us is probably ok for some others. Some of that demographic is not on social media even and might be the ones keeping the trps humming

Now if they could make this a limited series as many have said here, it would have been tighter and much more watchable.

Good on you for having been able to resist watching last week's epis- they were eminently forgettable so you've not missed much (read anything)

Keep coming here and aal izz well
😃

This is the light at the end of the tunnel kind of situation 😆

yeah, the only saving grace from here would be something like the role reversal promo… where it was in good jest…

just wondering if it they show it to be a dream, whose dream would it be… as Ram will never imagine Nandini’s reaction…the way it was shown 🤔

So like Vaidharbhi said, I'll be on devil mode too, which I think I have already gone into watching last week's absurd episodes. Yesterday was the first Saturday since I started watching the show that I didn't feel the need to watch any of the old clips or vm's. All I watched was the promo. The magic of RaYa scenes has somewhat dissipated (at least temporarily).

But I do have BALH2 to thank for some reasons:

The songs that have been permanently added to my playlist

Leading me to this forum, which I will continue visiting to chat and share a laugh, irrespective of how disconnected I feel with the show.

Helping me find my love for writing - I'm no professional writer, hell, not even a hobby writer. But what I am is a hardcore introvert, and writing has always been my emotional release. But something about Pri's story felt so personal, that it inspired me to pen stories. For the first time ever, I wrote and the first time ever, put them up for eyes other than mine to read. And the love with which it was received here came as a pleasant surprise for me. So I'll still continue weaving RaYa sories as long as it gives me happiness 😊

My hubby has an extremely poor memory. Recently, I was trying to tell him of something that happened in our pre wedding days, and he drew a blank. And we were just joking that I should start documenting everything for when both of our memories start failing. He lost both his parents a few years back and even now feels like there's so much he didn't get to ask them, so this joke of mine appealed to him. A lot. I have now decided to write a diary of sorts of our journey, to leave behind for our kid. If ever, he wished to know more about his parents and we weren't around, the diary will serve the purpose. So, that is my new project. And wouldn't have even crossed my mind if not for BALH2, IF and all you wonderful people here ❤️

@bold: Yes, yes and yes… same here. Not sure if I will be able to enjoy Raya same again.. may be temporary but something just switched off…

Have decided to limit my time on the forum and episode discussions not worth it… somehow the Forum curfew does not work … addicted I think

regarding you writing a diary… that is so lovely ☺️ 🤗

At times we find very meaningful purpose / inspiration from random things. So nice to read your idea… and how a random TV show inspired you to do something you never dreamed of …

I have a very big reason to be thankful to the show… as I said sometimes random / unplanned things give you life lessons… I must say I have sorted some very big personal baggage after watching this show and more than the show some deep discerning discussions on the characters.❤️

he he, btw our posts today give me obituary vibes… seems we all are more or less done with the show… but will be here tomorrow 08:30 PM IST to discuss the episode 🤣

The way plots are written and executed, the viewers are fed up and confused as to WTF is happening!! The CVs had a good chance the redeem the script from Rayas convo at the cafe after the holi. That would've been a great trigger for Ram to come clear about his ex and progress the relationship in a better way, but nothing of the sort happened! Everything looked abrupt and incomplete!! Are the CVs trying to create an art serial where nothing is shown clearly and everything is left to audience's imagination?

The lead's behavior in no way, shows they were intimate at least once. They don't even want to spent time with each other. They are not even properly conversing! Who talks in riddles? Their priorities are totally different, snooping and social work!! WTH are they even showing!!
