I agree with you. It is so unsettling to hear about this track. I couldn’t make myself watch the episode after the precap.
The first thought that came to my mind was Janmashtami, when they had shown Sai being blessed and everyone predicting her to become a mother first. It seems thats conveniently forgotten.
Well thats is a staple with Ghum makers. Inconsistency, messed up timeless and facts. So, how difficult is it to forget something like this. Everytime we try to give them a chance they turn around and hit us with more nonsense.
The whole equality and name change thing was a sham. I did talk about this whole abruptness. A show that has always promoted regressive mindset, was suddenly turning all "Nayi Soch". It was a lollipop to bring in this track in the name of modern thinking. Smart move, but they really thought they could get away with it and people would accept this track?
There was so much they could have shown for a newly married couple. Nope. They jumped to baby track the very next day. Seriously? They are worst than those aunties who keep popping up this question in all the weddings to every married woman. There is more to life between marriage and baby. If they really wanted to go the modern route they could have explored Sai's journey as a doc, her struggles etc. They could have shown adoption. But nope, they choose this. Well we know the reasons. No brainer there.
Surrogacy will not require any physical intimacy between V & P. But then who talks logic in ghum? There was a Salman Khan movie where Rani forces him to have a relation with Preity the surrogate mother. A show which has messed up the facts so well, can very easily reject any scientific claims and facts to justify themselves.
Even if that doesn’t happen it will pave way for more P & V scenes as he will kind of get more concerned and caring towards V. Filhaal was a movie which explored such a surrogacy track, where the best friend decides become the surrogate mother and then the wife became jealous as the husband became more involved out of concern and gratitude.
Again in either of the above two possibilities they are only trying to cater to the needs to real life couples finding their "ME" time. The medical or scientific facts or judicial law will be crucified in their name.
Simple fact. The other commitments is coming to a close. So someone need work. But there are others who act well, and are available, but are only made to stand in the corner rolling their eyes and making of odd statement here and there. And the national problem of not getting time together also needs to be addressed. So they decide to make the personal show of the ML & PL align to their personal needs by introducing such shit. SS plus personal time. All check.
Fake pregnancy can't be justified with the precap. How can they connect a dice meant for Sairat baby falling in P's lap as fake pregnancy sign? How much more fooling will they resort to. The only other possibility I see is Sai giving her baby to P. But such a track will need time to build up. Baby will not appear overnight. And in Ghum everything is as recent as today. Anything shown even in the previous episode is forgotten. So it is very unlikely for them to drop hints on something that they don’t intent to show immediately.
Why is this show the only one which has so much toxicity, regressiveness cringe, partiality and controversy? When one is blessed either they accept it with grace or throw it away in their arrogance since they can't hold it or respect it.
I'm waiting for that confirmation to bid adieu, to a show that made me vary of ITV, has banned a certain group comprising of actors, directors, creatives and PH from my watchlist for ever. "Who they hell are they anyways?"
