As I mentioned earlier, Ram's mom and VK are siblings. This is another brother-sister story. We got the hint from MS's dialogue and of course from te connection with The Mill on the Floss.

The Eskimo kiss looks like two Krauncha birds rubbing their beaks! That was a hint to the past of Ram's parents. So, that hint of one of the pair got killed was given. Hence, I am thinking Ram's bio dad got killed.
In Bhed-bhediya story, the child is eaten and so Nandini and the clan kept the child with them; one of the parents is eaten, I assume dad b/c of Krauncha birds and that's why Ram-Pri's eskimo kiss was like birds having their moment; third sheep is in a vegetative state (b/c she is half-eaten) is what I am thinking.
