Why why why - a rant

As a fan who started after 310 I’ve never been more disappointed than I am with this Surpita track.

Makers seem to listen to what fans want but don’t take ideas on the way for the track to be handled because the story they build is absolutely P.O.O.R

Not that it matters but after today’s episode I realized what I would have preferred instead of this shoddy af writing:

-Uday should’ve been thrown out during Day 2 only. After a background check from Aryan (the weakest point this show has ever been at after building so much hype for Aryan’s instincts)

-The sea of men doesn’t end at Uday. Aryan could have kept the search on but side by side Imlie could have trained Sundar to run in this race with his own reality.

-Aryan should’ve talked to Imlie properly that Sundar is not fit for Arpita because of other reasons than his status. And how important a paycheck is. This whole Imlie v Aryan was very unnecessary

-Aryan should’ve tested Sundar as a jiju thoroughly. Like a true saala. The cooking test and everything could’ve been fillers but Aryan’s main test should’ve been on how he would take care of Arpita and do anything including try for an actual job with a better payment, a test of working on himself for their betterment.

This soft Aryan in today’s episode just pissed me off. Aryan was very logical in the beginning so how was he convinced suddenly that Sundar is right for Arpita when his reasons are not answered? ie: Aryan’s reasons were financial stability, livelihood, zaroorat aur shauk, which Sundar hasn’t proved otherwise so how did Aryan just accept Sundar because of some circumstance? Have his conditions been met? Or sab sirf pyaar pe jeete hai jindagi me?

Now y’all would think this makes it a whole Aryan show and sidelines Imlie but no. Imlie always waits for Aryan’s approval so here she could’ve helped her friend out (cheated a bit with Aryan which should act as a catalyst for their relationship) to make Sundar perfectly fit for Arpita for Aryan’s approval.

But instead, makers chose to MAKE IMLIE GREAT AGAIN, and erased Aryan’s characterization instead. He has just stood in all this episodes for the sake of it, while Imlie did all things.
(my question to makers - do you hate Aryan so much that either you keep sending him to a hospital or just make him stand because he’s an eyecandy. And why?)

Everything is just very one sided. And not from Aryan’s side. He’s pretty much furniture (his face foundation supports)

another thing that irked me- Aryan’s constant “I am sorry Imlie” a total erasure of his character. First during AKT ww when he was right, he apologized. Here this track was heading to this and Aryan was made to stand in one corner and watch the tamasha just for him to end up saying sorry. How many more such unnecessary sorries is Aryan going to say? And why? Aryan was the person who used to never apologize when he is not wrong then why this suddenly rain of apologies from him now?

Yes the show is called Imlie but many of us started watching after Aryan. And why? Because he breath fresh air into the show and (maybe I over expected) we thought the show would be different from this naukrani hai par sahi hai pattern. Till date all Imlie has done is played the naukrani card with Aryan, almost everywhere (marriage, reception, Sundar track)

Also I had better expectations for Surpita but they reduced the couple into just a vehicle for AryLie love. Why? Don’t Sundar & Arpita deserve to have a beautiful relationship, hardships & beauty of life also considering they are a real life couple? Two couples cannot co-exist in the show.

I have stopped connecting with the show with AryLie especially and Aryan because of this huge goof and I think this doesn’t stop here. So I guess I’m very close to saying good bye. Atif aur Muskan ko apna show mubarak (to think I trusted their articles about new twists & stories for AryLie 🙁)

Makers are lead obsessed... Such a shortcut track, but the way they were going, everyone is glad it's over 😂

I’m glad too but it’s short lived. Because makers will definitely start another Make Imlie Great Again track and erase everyone’s character

Yeah totally get you... It's annoying but I've successfully detached myself, abb kuchh farak nahi padta, jo kar lein... Zyada hua toh old episodes to the rescue 😎

This , I understand to stretch a show there has to be changes in characters and honestly I dont have problem with soft aryan bcz he is actually a teady bear . BUT the main problem I have is they are touching his most attractive traits which made him a rage. Aryan is an intelligent, observant man who can read people by their actions. Showing him not doubting uday was just ridiculus . Biggest thing was guy with a drone won't run a background check on his sister's suitor . That is so not aryan move.

To convience myself I am just going to assume that since the arvind revealtion his sense of confidence has somewhere taken a hit. He now just doesn't trust himself to do right by anyone. Add to it his survivor's guilt.

Arvind died at his place- guilt

His misdirected revenge for 4 years- guilt

Marrying Imlie by forcing her- guilt

Imlie meethi problems bc of him- guilt

Him ignoring arpita in his revenge- guilt

Him being wrong in arvind's case was biggest blow of him . He is just so broken and honestly on verge of break down right now. One or 2 more instances and he will collapse.

He is actually struggling with his life right now. He doesn't know what his purpose his . After arvind's death he atleast could use revenge as a crutch but what now . Nothing . Arpita's wedding gave him new found purpose hence his eagerness to marry her. In normal circumstances aryan would have done everything above you said but now he just doesn't trust his judgement hence he trusted guy BM choose .

On top that, He also feel he can never get loved by Imlie , so he is devoid of that crutch too.

Poor boy my heart aches for him.

PS: idk if I make sense as I'm not watching episodes just going through twitter feeds and and reviews in forum as I am prepping for my specialisation exam.

PS2 : Also I know personally feel that after aryan's now this show has seen shift from just Imlie's journey to journey of aryan and imlie especially for trp audience. So CVS have to really careful about future tracks. Bcz trp audience is way more protective of aryan than imlie. I know in genrnal itv likes FL as mahaan one who can do wrong but in this case not. They won't be happy if Imlie is right at aryan's expense rather they would actually like for Imlie to be wrong only for aryan to correct her. That is what sold arylie to trp audience. An imperferct couple who helps each other grow. They can't always show Imlie right and aryan wrong . Sometimes it has to be vice a versa

I love your analysis. And i would have loved the show more had they actually shown this or were going in this direction

This would have been awesome had they shown aryan actually doubting himself bec of the Arvind thing. They could have even shown him doubting his business decisions because he has lost faith in himself

And maybe show him having a breakdown with the miththi reveal. But honestly aisa kuch nahin ho raha hai. The makers have removed all complexity and are basically showing surface/ shallow things. Nothing actually deep

I do agree with both your POVs but like I said makers listen to one potential idea but the rest is made a mess of.

So much could’ve been done, we ourselves can give so many possibilities but I don’t understand which track makers want to go at. And why they don’t want to take tracks that can register with people.

U/l - I totally agree. I which is why I’m scared about next week’s stats 😂 predicting an out of top 5 situation (but it can also be opposite maybe aunties like Imlie being right? If that’s the case we will never get Aryan right tracks)

Either Aryan is having accidents or he’s just standing & apologizing. There’s no in between in his character now.

earlier Aryan didn't know arpi also loves sundar.. now he has seen his spineless despo sis trying to commit suicide in front of him, and we know how he was already affected by arvind's death.. so sundar toh kya koi bhi ramu kaka koh Aryan jiju maanleta for the sake of arpi...

ultimately, they have to prove imlie can never be wrong..

finally this irritating surpita track is over, hope they start concentrating on arylie..

I too not liking how they are reducing Aryan to a mere prop to support imlie.. n the viewers too start bashing him at the slightest of his anger on imlie.. they expect him to be like Suraj rathi of dabh..

n Aryan's make-up too, FK is fair n handsome but most of the times they are making Aryan have dark n oily face.. he got proper make-up only during the fight scene with Seth men..
