The latest trend I have seen is....parent's of the groom not asking for dahej...thank God....but instead they say they want lavish wedding from a 5 star hotel with all the ceremonies....iss se to kam paise dahej mein lagte...😵....Recently one of my relative's daughter got married in a 7 star hotel in Agra.....and I know that there ishorrible that they could have done without taking loans or borrowing money but that is what the groom's family wanted...

This is just horrible. This culture is still prevalent in many parts of the country, especially in North Indian cultures. This is one of the reasons why arranged marriage should not exist.

I didn’t like the outfits but I like the whole concept of a close event.

I’m sure it was a very expensive affair - yes guest list was small and venue was not any five star hotel/destination 👍🏼

but other than that their dresses / jewelers/ decorations/menu etc was not minimalistic.

Also agree it always come down to personal choice and affordability, there shouldn’t be any trend to follow here.

I am glad they married for themselves and not for the world. They are glowing in all the pics. That s what matters at the end of the day ❤️

What people dont understand that its not monterary issues. its that they always wanted a small private wedding . Even Rishi Kapoor said so in one of his interviews

And for those who're claiming it's because the Kapoors have money problems: perhaps. It happens, esp in a business like theirs. Kudos to them then for recognizing this not the time to throw money on superficial stuff. Too many people go into debt only to show off at weddings.

Nothing to do with monetary issues. They always wanted an intimate wedding.

Waise idea acchaa hai. Kam kharche me shaadi bhi nipat jaati hai aur badhiya sa 'message' bhi rehta hai - we are going for a small, private minimalistic look this time.

Also on a serious note . I don't see why did is such a hard concept to grasp that some people might actually go for intimate weddings. That they might want to use all their money on building up a better future

Kuch log shaadi apne liye , apne pariwaar walo ke liye karte haa mohallewalo ko dikhane ke liye nahi

Minimalistic look chahiye...toh pehle maathe per se moochhe hatao.....doh doh jagah moochhe....faltoo ka kharcha...doh doh jagah maintain karo...moochhe...🤓
