Agree with you about Sai being closely associated with death since her birth. Her mother passed away after her birth. She only had Aaba as a family. Aaba being a police officer means the threat on his life is always there. Sai could not wait for Aaba to get VRS so that the threat will be over and she can live with him happily. Her presence of mind can be seen when he was shot too. Aaba is her only family and she was shaken and feared for his life. Yet, she knew what has to be done and get on to it. She couldnt accept his death because it broke her dream of a happy life with him. It shook her to the point of attempting suicide. The Chavan's are also a family with army and police officers, where life and death is uncertain. But its a joint family with many members, they have each other to take support from.

Virat had said multiple times to Sai to stop dreaming, but she kept putting effort. The 'maafi cheenni' dream show that his unmoving heart is affecting her. She is not someone with a lot of patience and tolerence. But she faced his anger and showed her love. The words Virat said before the diya visarjan was a jolt for her and she woke up from her dream, facing the reality. The sand dialog to Rajeev showed that she had realized that she cannot 'force' Virat to move forward. Although Sai may not put efforts anymore, she keeping the diya lit is a way to show that she will stay forward waiting for him. For Virat, his fear of another heartbreak is what is holding him back. Sunny has said during their conversation in the car, dont let his fear overpower his love. It also made me recall Ashwini's word to Virat before, musaffir has to move towards manzil not the other way. Sai had said she still wants their relationship, Virat should be the one to take the step forward now.

Even I was expecting separation and some character shift in both Sai and Virat, but lets see how the story is shown.

You have touched some aspects of Sai which I also connect with. She for me is the whitest character in this story. I always see other character with respect to her. How grey they are with respect to Sai kind of.

One thing which strikes me in Sai, as much as her goodness is her intelligence. I wrote in my post on Sai, how being the only child and bonded so closely to her father, she has matured pretty early. She has a way to judge people also which seldom goes wrong. With Pulkit and Rajeev and even with Pakhi. She estimated the kind of heartbreak Virat was having at their wedding and also quick to realize Pakhi's friendship is a garb. All this tells me that she has police brain in estimating people. Only Virat confuses her :D Or we can say she avoids seeing him with logical brain in contrast to how she sees others and falters big time. He also hides his true emotions with her so she cant read him properly. His love is always taken by her as care and responsibility.

Understanding she will be alone comes from that intelligence too. She is attached to Virat so it pains her to leave him. But at several instances in the past, she showed courage in accepting that she might have to live alone. Except for that one suicide attempt I think she will gather herself up and survive somehow. I saw that sense of purpose in her. Even if she had separated from Virat, her heartbreak would not have stopped her from being a good doctor. She has enough resilience to overcome, her father's death and repeated setbacks with Virat have prepared her for the worst I think.

Losing her father as you said made her accept death and attempting suicide has given her a rendezvous with it already. These two must have taught her the importance of life and sense of impermanence. Also recent incident where she almost lost Virat to death also gave her sense of urgency to set things right when you have time. Life is short is the biggest lesson she must have learnt.

She is wise and hence people listen to her! Even BK gets that her intentions are always right. 👍🏼

Sadly much of this is lost in the pace they have set up.

I have increasingly felt now that the character Sai has A separate writing team or probably they are much clear about what she is .. not so much for V.

Hence, inspite of all the goodness (?) that his character has... His flaws are the only ones highlighted. NB is not a bad actor but even he cannot keep me connected and feel for V like the way i do for Sai.

Whatever be the reason, TRP drop or anything for this mad rush.. i want this introspection on his part to happen soon... Even if it is post remarriage... Otherwise there's no point 👎🏼

Virat's character still has a great scope if handled well.

And yes, throughout Shruthi's track I absolutely lost his character arc.

He was a gem during GC days, even Devkit's wedding.

The problem with Virat's character is he's surrounded by many people and viewpoints - the reason we see him lecturing Sai to do some household chores, listen to elders, etc, etc.

Sai as a character has become extremely clear because there's no one surrounding her. One can actually tap into her real self right away.

Same can't be said for Virat. He is surrounded by a lot. I remember Dr. Anjali's dialogue to Ashwini. Sai and Virat have surrounded themselves with so many things that the moment they decide to be together they start suffocating.

Sai is still quick to accept certain things, but Virat takes time to come around.

Makers had great scope to do this when he was angry. Maybe they had also decided to project it that way but what went wrong who knows. Was it the other show or simply a pressure of TRPs?

We may never know that... But still shedding some light on V's character - the moment he's alone he gets trapped by fear.

I want to keep his post separate. The last 2 episodes have been Virat-ified after so long!

The "death" conversation is simply the initiation. Virat's real redemption is the new promo.

I mentioned it in my review too.. for him to realise the magnitude of Sai's pain... Only she has to tell him...

One because she was the one who suffered...

And secondly the makers have not kept any character who can put this through to V... Sunny is an exception and he is doing to the best of his ability...

But the way Sai can or will explain will be unparalleled...

Also made this point in another conversation, that V being the pampered child (looking at the regressive mindset of CN... He would definitely be.. as first born male)... V is still a better human being... He could have been worse... That's saying something...

But his so called perception fails when it comes to Sai... His hurt at rejection and his frustration overpowers anything that his rational mind can conjure. That is why he needed to cool down. Which he did now... And i feel he might retrospect.

Also, making him apologize is the need of the hour and him standing up for Sai will make him Mahaan again... For Sai and for the audience... I doubt the makers would let go of this golden opportunity 😆

There actually comes a point when the characters start telling their story.

And writer simply has to follow that.

Has happened for Sai.

But Virat's character still hasn't reached there.

Is it... Then let's wait for the day when V does that...

I might start calling him Virat again😆

For that to happen, makers, really have to invest time and thought in his, characterization.

This is the reason I am stuck to the show. The basic premise is beautiful. But yes, they need to work on Virat too. I hope they do.

Ayesha always says Sai will evolve through the years. Again hopefully, that is going to happen and it is not limited to just this track.

When does a person evolve?

A person truly evolves in the face of adversity.

Either they face adversity in the form of a person, place, or circumstances.

Sai had to leave her place.

Moved to a different city.

Lost her father.

Married against her wish.

When life has thrown so much at her, she had to evolve.

Same can't be said for Virat. We see his evolution in bits and pieces but i fail to recognize the transformation in him. It's almost like he springs back to his old self. For him to evolve he needs to face different / difficult situations.

I'm still counting on the new promo for this to happen.

Let's see.

And yes as you said the basic premise of the show is super attractive.

The conflict.

The tension.

The drama.

The resolution.

Let's see what happens next!

Beautiful analysis. When Sai said death is the ultimate truth, it kinda knocked some sense into Virat's mind. He started looking at everyone in a different light after that.
