The Kulshreshthas and the Bhatnagars reached Saraswati Nivaas as planned. Their plan will be executed right from here. "Anu ja jake taiyyar ho ja, jaldi", Neeti said. "Bhabhi hum humare plan mein kamiyaab toh honge na? Kahi koi gadbad toh nahi hoga na?" asked a jittery Anubhav. "Offo Anu tu na zyada soch mat. The others too decided to get ready. Only Dr. Riddhesh and Garima decided to be in the clothes they were in, simple, because they weren't invited for the wedding. "Riddhesh ek choti si problem ho gayi hai", Maya said. "Kya hua Maya?", asked Dr. Riddhesh in return. "Woh tumhe toh pata hi hai ki mai itne dino se Kamini ki waha reh rahi thi aur maine Aakriti ki shaadi mein pehenne k liye bhi kuch shopping nahi ki thi, toh agar mai inn kapdo mein jaungi toh use mujhpe shaq ho jayegi jo mai nahi chahti warna kahi humara plan flop naa ho jaye, lekin mere paas kuch dhang ka bhi nahi hai jise mai pehnu aur abhi Kamini k ghar jake wapas aane mein bhi bohot late ho jayega, toh ab mai kya pehnu?" asked a worried Maya. She can't let their plan flop just because of this petty reason. Hearing Maya Neeti said, "Maya ji waise toh humare ghar mein koi Western kapde nahi pehente hai lekin pichle saal Yug ne mujhe ek gown gift kiya tha humare anniversary pe jo maine aaj tak nahi pehni hai. Agar aapko aur Yug ko koi problem naa ho toh aap woh dress shaadi mein pehen sakti hai kyuki woh bilkul untouched hai aur aap pe woh fit bhi aa jayegi, kyu Yug?" Hearing her Yug said, "Agar Maya ji ready hai woh pehenne k liye toh mujhe bhi koi problem nahi hai kyuki hum mein se koi bhi nahi chahta hai ki iss choti si cheez k liye humare plan mein koi rukawat aaye." "Mujhe bhi koi problem nahi hai Neeti beta, tum lekar aao woh gown. Aur thanku so much mujhe last moment pe help karne k liye. Wakai maine tum logo ko bohot galat samjha tha jis k liye mai aaj bhi bohot ashamed hu", replied Maya with a sad smile. Neeti smiled back to her, she was happy to see this changed avatar of Maya. "Jo beet gaya so beet gaya Maya ji. Aap yehi rukiye mai abhi lati hu", she said and went to her room. After a few minutes she returned back with a packet. It contained a beautiful beige colored gown with delicate red motifs. "Haye more Ram ji, kitna khabsurat hai yeh. Maya ji pe bahut acchi lagegi", said Sunanda. "Wow this is really so pretty Neeti beta. Mai abhi ise pehenke ready ho jati hu" saying so she along with Neeti went to Neeti's room for changing. Finally everyone got ready. Even the relatives from the Kulshreshthas side arrived and were ready to go to Saxena house, clearly unaware of everything that was planned. "Aap log jaise plan kiye the waise hi jaiye, bilkul normal expressions k saath. Mai, Riddhesh aur Garima humare car mein chalte hai piche piche", explained Maya. Finally their journey to execute their plan started.

"Barati aa gaye, barati aa gaye", screamed Aakriti's friends. "Finally woh ghadi aa hi gayi jab mai Mrs. Anubhav Kulshreshtha banungi", Aakriti in a dreamy voice murmured to herself and gave one final look to herself in the mirror. She was wearing a bright red bridal lehnga with heavy jewellery and a red veil above her head. Her female colleagues arrived at her room to take her downstairs. "Aakriti aaj toh Anubhav sir tujhe dekhke flat ho jayenge pakka", said one of them, making Aakriti blush. "Kuch bhi bol rahe ho tum log, aisa kuch nahi hai", replied a shy Aakriti and went with them. Finally she sat beside Anubhav in the mandap. The Kulshrershthas and Maya had a fake smile adorning on their face by looking at Aakriti. And Anubhav just couldn't hold his anger and hatred towards her. Everytime he saw her face, he got reminded of Gungun's tear strained face and eventually her accident, which in turn made him close his fists in anger turning his knuckles white! "Control Anu control, warna sara plan flop ho jayega", he thought to himself. "Mai kaisi lag rahi hu sir?", questioned Aakriti to which Anubhav replied with a tight-lipped smile and a nod. Aakriti didn't feel anything fishy with his reply because she knew that Anubhav was a reserved kind of person so she was happy with whatever reply he gave. The Pandit started the wedding rituals. "Arre dulhan ki Maa k bina shaadi kaise?", everyone heard a voice. "Meri ek lauti bhanji ki shaadi mein uska ek lauta Mama naa aaye yeh kaise ho sakta hai?", another voice was heard. Yes it was Garima and Dr. Riddhesh's voices respectively. Aakriti was shocked seeing her mom and uncle, whom she didn't invite at her wedding and stood up from her seat. "I need to act as an ideal daughter-in-law who can't stand her in-laws dishonor", thought Aakriti in her mind, so started her drama, "Aap logo ki himmat kaise hui meri shaadi mein aane ki? Uss din aap logo ne jo mere sasural walon ki beizzati ki woh kya kaafi nahi thi jo aap log aaj yaha bhi aa gaye?" she asked. "Natak toh aisi kar rahi hai jaise ise humari kitni fikar hai! Agar meri bas mein hoti na toh ek khich k lagati mai ise", whispered Sargam. "Chachi dheere boliye kahi woh sun na le", warned Yug. "Woh kya hai na beta, jaise hi mujhe pata chala ki teri shaadi hai toh mai tujhe aashirvad dene aa gaye, Maa hu na teri", acted Garima. "Aakriti beta, Garima ji sahi keh rahi hai, woh jaise bhi hai, hai toh tumhari Maa. Unke ya Doctor Sahab k yaha upasthiti pe humein koi pareshani nahi hai, tumhe bhi apni shaadi pe dhyaan dena chahiye beta", acted Charu. "Jaisa aap kahe Bade Papa", Aakriti smiled and sat back to continue with the rituals. "Ab var aur vadhu ka gaanthbandhan kar diya jaye", stated the Pandit. Chavi came forward and tied the knot half-heartedly. "Ab aap dono phero k liye khade ho jaye", the Pandit said. Aakriti and Anubhav stood up from their seat when suddenly the lights went off! And a video clip started playing on the TV screen. It was Maya-Aakriti's CCTV footage clip from the party night. All the guest could see and hear what Maya-Aakriti planned and plotted. After the video ended, the lights came back. Aakriti stood rooted to her spot. She just couldn't believe her truth was out in front of everyone like this, specially in front of the Kulshreshthas that too during her wedding. She first looked at Anubhav and then towards the Kulshresthas. She could feel their accusing eyes on her. "Nahi...nahi aisa kuch nahi hai. Yaha jo bhi kuch dikh raha hai woh bilkul jhoot hai, galat hai. Maine yeh sab jaan bujhke nahi kiya. Mujhe...mujhe toh Mami ne kaha tha yeh sab karne k liye", stammered a scared Aakriti and accused Maya. "Mami nahi chahti thi ki Gungun ki shaadi Anubhav sir se ho isiliye Mami ne mujhe yeh sab karne k liye kaha. Maine toh unse kaha bhi tha ki aisa karna galat hai lekin unhone meri ek nahi suni", Aakriti said trying to be innocent. "Oh really Aakriti? Maine tumhe sab kuch karne k liye kaha tha? Toh kya woh tum nahi thi jisne mujhse kaha tha ki tum Anubhav se pyaar karti ho, tum dono ek dusre ko date bhi kar rahe the jab uski shaadi Gungun se fixed hua tha isliye tum bhi mujhe help karna chahti ho taki Gungun aur Anubhav ki shaadi toot jaye?", Maya asked. "Kya? Mai aur tum date kar rahe the? Yeh kab hua miss Aakriti Saxena?", Anubhav asked Aakriti and gave her a disgusting look. "Sir yeh aurat jhoot bol rahi hai, maine kabhi nahi kaha tha aisa.", objected Aakriti. "Wait a second my dear." said Maya. After a few second another clip started playing. It was the same clip which Maya recorded that day at the insitute. After the clip ended Aakriti's colleagues could recognize themselves in the clip and one of them said, "Haa uss din cafe mein Aunty ne humse casually pucha tha Aakriti aur Anubhav sir k date k bare mein. Toh humein jo sach tha woh unse keh diya ki unhone kabhi date kiya hi nahi", and gave Aakriti a dismayed look. Aakriti could sense that her game was nearing the end so she played her final card. "Mami abhi aapne kaha ki maine aapse kaha tha ki mai Anubhav sir ko date kar rahi thi. Lekin aapke paas kya proof hai iss baat ka?", she asked. The Kulshreshthas suddenly realized that she was right. When Maya told them about Aakriti in the hospital, they didn't ask her for the proof of Aakriti's statement after she showed them the institute clip because they decided to trust her this time. But now that Aakriti raised the question, they doubted their move at trusting Maya blindly, did she break their trust yet again? "Confidence achhi baat hai lekin over-confidence nahi beta", laughed Maya. She connected her phone to the TV and yet again played another clip. This time it was of Maya-Aakriti's first meet at a restaurant where Aakriti had confessed everything including her dating Anubhav. "Yeh video maine apne paas sambhal k rakha tha taki agar tum mujhe kabhi double-cross karo toh yeh mai as a proof dikha saku aur finally woh mauka bhi mujhe aaj mil gayi. Mujhe laga hi tha ki tum mujhe double-cross karogi isliye uss din restaurant mein maine tumhare knowledge k bina yeh video apne phone mein record kar liya tha. Your game is over now Aakriti!" smirked Maya. Kulshreshthas sighed in relief that they didn't do wrong this time by trusting Maya. Maya turned towards them and said, "Maine aap logo ko yeh video tab nahi dikhayi kyuki aap logo ne mujhpar bharosa dikhaya tha aur yeh video maine emergency k liye bacha k rakhi thi jo ab kaam aa gayi. Ek bar firse thanku mujhpar bharosa karne k liye." Aakriti couldn't believe in her ears. The Kulshreshthas and Maya were together in this plan. The guests started badmouthing her. Before she could say anything she saw Anubhav removing his turban. "Sir yeh aap kya kar rahe hai?", asked Aakriti in a panicked voice. "Miss Aakriti Saxena, tumhe kya lagta hai ki itna sab kuch karne k baad mai tumse shaadi karunga?", roared Anubhav. "Sir jis aurat ne aapki aur aapki family ki izzat ucchali aap unpe bharosa kar sakte hai toh mujhse shaadi kyu nahi?", Aakriti questioned. "Ek aur shabd nahi Miss Saxena. Maya ji ko humne mauka diya kyuki unko unki kiye pe pachtawa hai but look at you, tumhe toh tumhari kiye pe koi bhi pachtawa nahi hai ulta tum mujhse sawal kar rahi ho ki mai tumse shaadi kyu nahi kar sakta?", shouted Anubhav. "Aakriti tum yeh nahi puchogi ki humne shaadi k mandap mein tumhare liye iss chote se gift ka intezaam kaise kiya? Chalo hum hi bata dete hai" Golu said and went into flashback.

After arriving at the Saxena house, the Kulshreshthas were welcomed by Aakriti's Tai ji. When they were waiting for Aakriti at the hall, Golu Chachu and team went near Shankar, Aakriti's father and said, " Shankar ji hum Aakriti ko ek surprise dena chahte hai jis k liye humein aapki madat chaiye", said Golu. "Ji kahiye na mai kaise madat kar sakta hu aapka?", asked her father. "Woh humein ek TV chahiye iss hall mein lagane k liye jismein hum Aakriti ko humara surprise dikhayenge", Ankit said. "TV? Accha rukiye mai dekhta hu. Haa ek kaam kar sakte hai, humare ghar ka TV hai usse kaam ban sakta hai shayad", Shankar suggested. "Usmein mobile phone connect hoga na?", asked Yug. Shankar replied, "Ji bilkul hoga, meri Akku ne pichle saal hi uski mehnat ki kamayi se ek Smart TV li thi. Aap log usi mein apna phone connect kar lena. Rukiye mai kisi se bolke TV yaha hall mein lagwane ka intezaam karta hu." "Arre kisi aur se kyu? Hum log hai na? Hum kar lenge", stated Golu. "Arre aap log kyu pareshan ho rahe hai? Aap log ladke wale hai", objected Shankar. "Bahu ki khushi k liye hum itna toh kar hi sakte hai na?" Golu said. "Thik hai jaisa aap logo ko thik lage. Chaliye mai aap logo ko lekar chalta hu. Iss taraf aayiye", said Shankar. "Ji aap chaliye hum aate hai", Golu replied. After Shankar went, Yug started laughing and said, "Bhahu ki khushi k liye? Waah Chachu kya kamaal ki acting ki hai aapne!" "Manna parega Chachu, unko humpe zara sa bhi shaq nahi hua", Khushi said. "Ab aage aage dekho kya hota hai. Chalo Mission Aakriti ki Pol Khol shuru kiya jaye jawano", whispered Golu Chachu. "Aye Aye Captain!", replied everyone. They arranged the TV in the hall and connected it to the plug point there. They were waiting for the correct time. When the Pandit asked Anubhav and Aakriti to stand for the pheras, Maya signaled them. Yug quietly went near the main switch board by escaping everyone's sight and switched off the lights and hid behind the pillar. After the video was shown he again switched on the lights and returned back to his place as if nothing happened. The flashback ended.

"Toh yeh surprise dene wale the aap meri Akku ko?", demanded an angry Shankar. "Aakriti ne jo kiya uske baad woh yehi deserve karti hai. Sharam aati hai mujhe use apni beti kehlane mein. Itni giri hui harkat. Chii! Mai soch bhi nahi sakti ki yeh meri beti hai", stated a disgusted Garima. "Garimaaaaa!!", shouted Shankar and raised his hand at her when he was stopped by someone. "Sochna bhi mat", glared Dr. Riddhesh. "Jab tak uska bhai zinda hai, ek aanch tak nahi aane dunga mai apni behen par. Jo tumne saalon pehle Garima k saath kiya tha, bhagwan ka shukar manao ki maine tumhe baksh diya" he shouted looking at Shankar and his Bhabhi. Both of them casted their eyes down. They couldn't let Aakriti to know the truth. "Kya kiya mere papa ne? Kyu apni behen ko bachane k liye mere Papa pe ilzaam laga rahe hai aap?", questioned Aakriti to which Riddhesh replied, "Tum khud kyu nahi puch leti unse". "Bhaiya rehne dijiye na yeh sari baatein", requested Garima. The Kulshreshthas and Maya were puzzled too. What did Shankar to with Garima, they thought. "Humein maaf kar dijiye saale sahab. Humse galti ho gayi hai", Shankar requsted with folded hands. "Papa yeh aap....", Aakriti tried to protest when she was cut off by her father, "Ek aur shabd nahi Aakriti". Hearing "Aakriti" instead of "Akku" from her father hurt her. "Humein Gungun bitiya pe pehle hi bharosa kar lena chahiye tha toh baat itni bigadti nahi. Accha hua jo usne humein sacchai dikha di woh bhi shaadi se pehle, warna pata nahi kya hota", Chandru said. Hearing Gungun's name, Aakriti suddenly noticed the absence of Gungun from the whole scene. She immediately asked, "Agar Mom aur Mama yaha hai toh Gungun kaha hai? Woh kyu dikhai nahi dikh rahi hai?" This made the Kulshresthas and Bhatnagars more angry at Aakriti looking at her audacity, as they remembered Gungun's blood soaked face after the accident. "Tumse matlab? Aur tumhe kyu janna hai ki woh kaha hai? Tumhe toh woh pasand bhi nahi hai aur naa hi tumne use shaadi pe bulayi thi. Oh shaadi se yaad aaya, yeh shaadi nahi hogi, suna tumne? Abhi nahi aur kabhi nahi!!", Anubhav stated with a straight face. "Chaliye Bade Papa", he indicated Charu. Charu nodded his head in a "yes". The Bhatnagars and Kulshreshthas walked out of the Saxena house, breaking Aakriti's dream into pieces. Pandit ji left after Anubhav cancelled the wedding. The guests too started leaving. She was left alone with her father and aunt but they too left the place soon, leaving her all alone in the hall. Aakriti couldn't handle her defeat. Her hatred towards Gungun increased ten folds. She was determined to take revenge from her. "Gungun tumhari wajah se aaj meri shaadi nahi hui. Sirf tumhari wajah se mera sapna toot gaya. Tumne firse mujhse mera sab kuch cheen liya. Mai iss baat ko itni asani se nahi chhodne wali hu. Iss baat ka badla toh mai leke rahungi. I hate you Gungun, I hate you!!" screamed an enraged Aakriti.

(or Authoress, if you like the female version more 💫) Can you please show the wedding as a mixture between the two weddings (of AnuGun version there) that happened in Khorkuto? I don't know if you have watched it or not, or whether you understand Bengali or not, but I do think it may turn out well. (You do have the skills to turn it into a well-written part 👌‍)

Blue - Yehi karo tum Aakriti! Aur koi kam toh hai nehi tumhare paas. Sirf shauk se junior scientist ho, nehi toh full-time job toh Gungun se revenge lena hai. 🙄 Make her suffer well, Author!

Golden - I read through all the previous chapters. It was AMAZING! 👏‍ Please continue this and tag me if you can. I would love to continue reading this. Honestly, I loved Khorkuto because it gave the old traditional middle-class bengali family vibes and of-course the funny situations and banter! 🤣 Those were the best! A serial without a serious vamp! A dream truly and I was so excited when the Hindi version came. I couldn't connect in the first scene at all, but later on it went much better. Manav and Yesha were pretty good but then.....Good things (or in this case better things) don't last. It got RUINED! 😑 💔

Anyway, Sorry! I think I ranted a bit there *sheepish smile*

Yes dear as much I know about Khorkuto, it has a way better storyline than KKIS. Even they had Aakriti's counterpart Tinni there. But still they didn't make the storyline negative nor did they show Soujonyo and the Mukherjees so dumb like Anu n K family of KKIS. I too started watching KKIS only for their storyline, positivity and of course YeshMan's chemistry but unfortunately the show got spoiled way too earlier than expected.

IKR! God! They messed up horribly. I was watching KKIS in bits and pieces but couldn't connect at all from the first epi. But then when it got better, they went and....UGH!
