Coming to ak’s dilemma in choosing, this is what I understood:

Audience POV (including mine): same as what you have said in your post. It’s a no brainer. Manipulative sister/abuser vs fiancé who loves you to the moon and back. Plus abhimanyu has asked for “no arohi” only for the wedding, not for whole lifetime. Big whoop! 😔 It should be easy to pick for ak as the choice is crystal clear.

Ak POV: it’s not just whether ar can attend wedding or not. Its choosing between 2 important people in her life. It’s a choice about:

-On whose side is she on? Abhi or ar?

-who is her priority? Abhi or ar?

-Who does she love more? Abhi or ar?

Ak is a girl who has always loved her family, specially ar to a default regardless of whether that love was reciprocated or not. After meeting her couple times, even abhi understood her undying love and dedication towards her family. That’s why he had wished, “Jitna pyaar apni behen aur family se karti ho Kya utna pyaar mujse kar pavogi?” If we see ak character sketch, initially her love was only family/sister and she rejected abhi multiple times to please ar. Then slowly her love for abhi increased to a point that she could not deny her feelings. Abhi and her family came to be on same level of importance for her and that has been the story so far. Now essentially abhi is asking her to give him more priority than her sister. He is asking her to to switch sides/ to rearrange her priorities. That is why she is hesitant, needs courage and guidance to make this journey from one side to another, from ar to abhi.

Makers POV: Goenkas needed to be whitewashed as all the drama needs to shift to Birla house after shadi. This is perfect opportunity. This way they can take credit of Abhira union and justify their presence in season 3 🤣. So let ak be confused and they can help her.😆

He put the condition forward after he heard that Akshu had taken the blame yet again. That is what triggered him. I don't even think he's trying to punish Aarohi. He was genuinely ready to let it all go, but realizing that Akshu was once again going to destroy her life for Aarohi is what set him off. He cannot see her in this toxic relationship anymore. He is trying to save her in a way that he could never save Manjari from Harsh. And this was made so evident yesterday when Manjari told the Birlas that it's not that easy... the position that Akshu is in. Because she has been in that exact same position between Abhi and Harsh her entire life. On one side, there is someone who loves her unconditionally, and on the other side, is someone who has abused her, and yet, she still loves him both due to her own nature and her trauma. Akshu is just like that.

The problem arises when Abhi's own insecurities lead him to talking about those dialogues about how he will never be Akshu's priority. He understands her so well, and yet, his insecurities prevent him from seeing that Akshu has always chosen him when it came down to it. Yes, she needs to be pushed, but it is going to be a lot of time for her to truly come out of this conditioning. He understands that, but he also falls weak and vulnerable, and understandably so.

Abhi is all about grand gestures and extremeness, whereas Akshu is quiet and deeper. The way they express their love for each other is so different in many ways, but that doesn't mean that either one of their love for the other is less than.

More arhu drama next week! I don't think my eyes can take anymore Oscar worthy acting! I'm so confused by her expressions. Does she have any remorse/guilt/relief/sad/traumatised/disdain/evilness I really can't tell!

What happened to all the other wedding related stuff? Like akshu packing her bags, reliving her moments with family. Groom side decorating the bedroom etc etc. Like I'm sure I rather watch them mundane stuff than arhu. Bride and groom excitement talks secret meetings! Also I miss abhira and please I want some comic relief enough of the accident drama!

And whenever (in future) he will be forced to do that, it will literally break him. Even when he agreed to marriage with ar for Manjari, he was sooo broken. PS- also, I don’t agree when people (not talking about you Pooja) say that he chose Manjari over akshu since he was ready to cancel tilak 3. IMO, he was just postponing the ceremony until he could come up with a solution. He never let go of akshara that day.

As for Tilak 3, of course he was going to still marry Akshu and find a way. But, he was not going to proceed with the function without Manjari. The point is that they are equals to him. They are both his priorities. Also, he feels responsible for Manjari, as he has been the one to care of her throughout this life, trying to protect her from Harsh's abuse. He feels obligated to be her guardian. I'm not saying that he doesn't love her, because obviously he deeply does. But in a way, he has that burden of responsibility too.... the same way in which Akshu has a burden of responsibility towards Aarohi. From our POV, it is obvious that Aarohi and Manjari cannot even be compared. Manjari loves Abhi and is an amazing mother, but Aarohi hates and despises Akshu.

But, my point is that I think we should extend more grace to Akshu when it comes to her becoming conflicted between Aarohi and Abhi, because he faces those same problems. They both love each other with their entire beings, but this is a story about them finding balance, security, and trust within each other and their families. And that process will take time.

HC nailed the look abhi gave to ak when he found out that this girl had yet again sacrificed for her unworthy sister. The disbelief, the pain, the anger- ufff! That look had everything.

The pain of choosing between two people that you love and the pain of asking someone to make that choice was perfectly played by both Pranali and HC. While watching that scene, I remembered abhi’s dialogue, “tumhe dard dene mein mujhe zyada dard hota hai” 😭 it was so emotional!

I understand ak’s dilemma in choosing and I don’t fault her for taking time to decide. It’s like asking abhi to choose between Manjari and ak (since ar to ak is like Manjari to abhi) When abhi is put in that situation of choosing we as audience tend to feel bad for him since Manjari is a positive character. Ar is shown to have abused and manipulated ak and hence in our eyes, we think it should not be hard for ak to choose. However, thats our thinking as audience who are unbiased and unrelated to ar. But ak’s system is hardwired to always consider ar in all of her decisions. That programming is not gonna change overnight. So I get her hesitation. In fact, even abhi was about to cancel tilak 3 when Manjari was not attending it. However, I would have liked if ak chose abhi after having flashbacks about their love, promises to each other, moments where she had almost lost him… kind of similar to what she had in the temple confession episode when he was walking away. But I guess the makers really wanted to whitewash Goenkas. I felt this was like final whitewash before closing chapter of Goenkas kaand as next is the wedding and the story would involve more of Birla dynamics as compared to Goenkas. So this somewhat felt like going away ta-ta bye-bye gift from makers to Goenkas.

Anyways, ak is going to choose abhi tomorrow (there is no doubt about it) and someone will make abhi understand (or he may realize it himself but I doubt it) that he has put ak in a very difficult situation. Hence both will head out in each other’s direction and meet halfway, sort of symbolic of how their relationship will work. They both will need to bend for each other and meet each other halfway for their love to win over all obstacles.

My fears:

1. Abhi still doesn’t know that ak ran to tell him the truth as soon as she found out. He is still so deeply triggered and can barely hold it in. I hope they clear this ASAP!!!!!
2. Birlas don’t know ar was drinking the car. They still think it was ak driving. On second thought, it won’t make a difference even if they know who was behind the wheel as they will still find reasons to hate ak. So scratch this-I don’t care about this one 🤪😆

PS- I don’t know if it was bad dialogue writing or bad direction but I found a lot of loop holes in the sequence. Like how did Manish know that arohi asked ak not to tell anything to abhi, how did Birlas find out about the girls being responsible for Manjari’s accident, why didn’t abhi pick up on it, what about arohi OD, DUI and evidence tampering??? May be they were just in a rush to wrap up all this before heading to Jaipur 🤔

The MU between Abhira needs to be cleared ASAP, especially before they leave for Jaipur. Abhi needs to know that Akshu didn't give a damn about Aarohi's manipulations and rushed to tell him the truth. That is going to ease a lot of his insecurities and faltering in his trust that he is going through right now. The makers absolutely cannot brush this under the rug!

a. Ar’s OD is addressed. Makers cannot bring something this important up and leave it unresolved. Ak is involved in hiding this too and it’s inexcusable. It’s clear that Ak cannot distinguish between right and wrong where Ar is involved. Get the shadi done and slap some disciplinary action on Ar post shadi. Hopefully no “Akshara joot mat bolo” again for hiding the OD issue because she did mention it to Abhi even if it was only a single line.

b. Abhi realizes Akshu confessed to him. Get the letter, the boy or connect the dots - but he must know.
Before the shadi. Because we need to see him cry for “Akshara joot mat bolo” - HC will kill it.

c. Real culprits must be found. They cannot have Ak involved in an accident that hurt Manjari. Through out the track she had very weak dialogues and introspections that were not favorable. Not everything Ak does/says can be attributed to being abused. They gave her some very insensitive lines. They must set this right.
