I didn't see your post before because I was avoiding reading anything before I watch the episode. I am so mad at the directors for RUINING her at that moment. She talked about 'humanity' with her mother and she doesn't understand what kind of a person Ram is? Albeit she knows.

Ram is a person who welcomes all hugs and he even kissed Shivi's forehead after the fight; even then also Pri didn't. The more I am explaining it in every post, I am becoming more mad at it.

You know what I hated most about Shivi today, that hug she gave to Ram after getting what she wanted, it reeked of selfishness, that was a celebratory hug, she was celebrating when Ram was breaking from inside. It was just too painful to watch

On an unrelated note can’t stand the actor who plays Neeraj. Maybe in real life he may be an awesome person but to me not just the character of Neeraj but the actor himself gives very ick vibes. 😒

She needs it too, but not to the point of expressing as it is… when she gets her point that she can demo him a lot of things directly, she will do so without inhibition…

I can understand what you are saying Pri, because I too kinda brought up in such environment, not purely matriarchal, but we never indulged in touchy-feely behaviour growing up and I am also the kind of person who doesn’t cry and breakdown in the presence of even family (not because of any trauma, it is just me). If something like this happens to me, I would seek solitude most probably I would go to terrace to avoid company, But there are times in everybody’s life when we inadvertently long for a familiar touch, I think it happened to Pri too. But as you said, it is not her norm. At the same time, IMO Pri also understands what kind of person Ram is, he isn’t the kind of person who shuns people at such times, he needs people and their touch to comfort him.

That's when Krish and Pri have come in. Pri is knocking on Ram's subconscious by purposefully talking to Krish so she can push him a little more (@Doc: knitting - ring a bell?).

The accident looks like for Pri and by that time, Ram will come to know that she was kidnapped; my guess is through Krish.

I too have a feeling Ram might want to continue the investigation, Pri was definitely triggering him by saying ‘even if there is new evidence, don’t come to us’

I don't know how to explain and this is solely my personal opinion and interpretation that , not every situation requires hug and physical comfort, sometimes u just need ur own space, u need privacy even if it's mother-daughter or husband-wife relationship..

Had Ram escaped kidnapping, or had it been an accident Pri would have run and hugged him..

But this is a case of severe insult, and a person would need space after it..

Even if he doesn't have ego issues , fact of the matter is that an embarrassing tamasha was made before his wife and in-laws.

His wife and her family saw the lowest of the low level people in his family can stoop to. He was so anxious when Priya was trying to stop Shubhu, he did not want any altercation ..

Like remember the scene where Mahendra/Monster Sood verbally abused Pri in cafe and Ram saw her breaking down, he did not go and hold her hand or hug her not because he doesn't care but he knew Pri would not be able to handle that kind of confrontation , instead he did what is right , go and show MS his place..

This is exactly what Pri is trying to do.. Ram was in a pathetic situation, hiding his tears from Pri and trying to avoid confrontation and Pri gave him space and now she will do what is right , fix these brats..

There r some times in life when u don't want to be touched .. Like if u get that one loving touch u will melt and have a severe breakdown and u don't have that energy to suffer the breakdown..

I honestly was not looking forward for a hug , or physical assurance . Had Pri as much as even lovingly touched Ram's hand today , he would had a very bad and severe breakdown.

Instead Pri will slowly gradually take baby steps and help Ram acknowledge that yes he is hurt by their actions and it is not right to succumb to their whims and fancies .

Ram was so badly hurt today that even when Pri screamed of pain when he held her hands, he could not sense it. He needed privacy today and Pri needed some time too ,to plan the next course of action balancing her emotions simultaneously .

She will help him face his inner demons. Help him break his delusion that " sab achhe hai , sab kuch theek hai"

This false hope is what kept him going in life , this delusion was his lifeline rope he held on to so strongly all these years , so it cannot be snatched away in a single day, it can be so injurious to his mental health

This is the most sensitive area of Ram's life and Pri will take it slowly and rightfully.

I completely agree with you. Shubham, Shivi, Nandu and even Mama mami have called Ram sautela thousand times. It has happened so many times that even though he gets extremely hurt, for family's happiness he brushes it away. Even when Akki called Ram Sautela, Priya got furious but Ram absolved him because he is used to this treatment from his own family.

Nandini slyly uses this word to make him feel grateful towards her and her children and thereby enjoying a rich & privileged life. This practice has been continued by her children.

Ram once acknowledged that the word Sautela hurts him very deeply but then it was under the influence of drugs which brought out his inner most feelings and pain. (Rams Diwali confession).

Ram in his normal state never mentions about his pain (even to his close friends) because it would mean acknowledging the fact that his family keeps hurting him. Remember Bri during initial episodes says that they keep hurting him and he endures it silently as feels they have done a huge favor by calling him family.

Yes, Ram and Priya have had intimate moments but this is not about Priya being uncomfortable with his touch (in some scenes it is..... but that is a different discussion). It is more about giving him space as she knows how sensitive this word is for Ram and at this point he doesn't want to express this openly. The other reason for Ram not wanting to talk about it is that he doesn't want anybody feeling sorry for him, especially his Wife.

Priya didn't want to initiate a conversation or even a touch which would open up his hidden wounds, that Ram himself is trying to hide.

So she acted as though nothing happened and uses diversionary tactic to help him get through it. She subtly conveys that she knows he is hurt but she won't discuss it until he himself wants to open up because she knows the pain runs very deep.

So she has taken an approach (which suits our Priya) that would ensure that Rams self respect is not hurt and at the same time the root cause of his pain is eliminated.

With regards to her Hot Cold Hot Cold, guys this is Priya we are talking about.....It's not in her nature to openly acknowledge her feelings especially romantic feelings. Sometimes with great effort she musters up courage to say it (staying in hotel for another night) sometimes she tries but is unable to. Also the other night when they kissed and got a little intimate it happened in the flow....Ram had indirectly proposed...stood up for her against his family....the emotions were running high. It was her heart and hormones talking.

But our Priya has always been an over thinker, whenever her Brain is in control she is unable to be romantic and intimate. This is a little new to her she is trying to find her comfort zone which sometimes takes a while.

Also, every person is different.. every couple is different....there is no logic in a relationship.

I have been married for 7 years and even now there are times when I feel like sharing everything with my hubby and times when I like to be left alone. No logic! I am a mystery even to myself. 😳

I would suggest not to judge their actions....rather enjoy the vagarities of human behaviour and enjoy the ride. Trust me it feels great! But hey as I said every person is different. This is just my view point in life. Doesn't mean everyone should share it. Cheers!
