Why is everyone sad about RaYa babies not hugging today or Pri not physically comforting him today..

I don't know how to explain and this is solely my personal opinion and interpretation that , not every situation requires hug and physical comfort, sometimes u just need ur own space, u need privacy even if it's mother-daughter or husband-wife relationship..

Had Ram escaped kidnapping, or had it been an accident Pri would have run and hugged him..

But this is a case of severe insult, and a person would need space after it..

Even if he doesn't have ego issues , fact of the matter is that an embarrassing tamasha was made before his wife and in-laws.

His wife and her family saw the lowest of the low level people in his family can stoop to. He was so anxious when Priya was trying to stop Shubhu, he did not want any altercation ..

Like remember the scene where Mahendra/Monster Sood verbally abused Pri in cafe and Ram saw her breaking down, he did not go and hold her hand or hug her not because he doesn't care but he knew Pri would not be able to handle that kind of confrontation , instead he did what is right , go and show MS his place..

This is exactly what Pri is trying to do.. Ram was in a pathetic situation, hiding his tears from Pri and trying to avoid confrontation and Pri gave him space and now she will do what is right , fix these brats..

There r some times in life when u don't want to be touched .. Like if u get that one loving touch u will melt and have a severe breakdown and u don't have that energy to suffer the breakdown..

I honestly was not looking forward for a hug , or physical assurance . Had Pri as much as even lovingly touched Ram's hand today , he would had a very bad and severe breakdown.

Instead Pri will slowly gradually take baby steps and help Ram acknowledge that yes he is hurt by their actions and it is not right to succumb to their whims and fancies .

Ram was so badly hurt today that even when Pri screamed of pain when he held her hands, he could not sense it. He needed privacy today and Pri needed some time too ,to plan the next course of action balancing her emotions simultaneously .

She will help him face his inner demons. Help him break his delusion that " sab achhe hai , sab kuch theek hai"

This false hope is what kept him going in life , this delusion was his lifeline rope he held on to so strongly all these years , so it cannot be snatched away in a single day, it can be so injurious to his mental health

This is the most sensitive area of Ram's life and Pri will take it slowly and rightfully.

Arey he's your husband! And you've already 'crossed the line', so to speak. You should not have to think twice about touching him, comforting him.

The last straw for me was when Ram was lying down and a tear slipped from his eye and he hastily wiped it away. I was anticipating a shoulder squeeze, at the very least, but we got nothing.

She is independent and saw every woman around her independent and in troubled times, she braces herself to face the situation and doesn’t usually hug it out with someone dependable …

and she is casting that side in herself on to him…

She acts according to …“That which is inside you, you find it outside too”

She needs it too, but not to the point of expressing as it is… when she gets her point that she can demo him a lot of things directly, she will do so without inhibition…

Some moments, like this one, need to be untouched for a while in order to resurface and give new breath.

I was also upset by Pri’s rooka sooka aporoach but I get your pov, very well articulated & makes me think. That was an awesome juxtaposition, with the MS in cafe incident.

@blue: This! I could write this exact same line. WTF really!!! Hand on the shoulder/arm/hand...something..anything! 😡. I find it extremely difficult to comprehend..there is someone who is hurting real bad, forget about everything else, won't you try to offer some comfort as a human being. When he held her arm, atleast then she could have just kept her hand on his..a couple of seconds!!

I get her hesitation with physical intimacy (not just romantic)..but this is about being a human being first. I am really disappointed with this scene. Whatever her monologue, she will fight the world for him etc..but in that moment she allowed him to suffer. Alone.
