I have some dark skinned friends.but all like dressing up.Nobody tries to be ugly.I think in kartik purnima n the south versions too the lead dresses up.But recently I read that diya has changed her look n she looks nice with her new hairstyle.

I dont want any good actor's work to get overshadowed because of the hideous look. And let me clear this, in our family and closed ones there are many dark skinned ladies but nobody forces themselves to look ugly just because they are dark skinned. Thats stupid ! I am really disliking this.

You are right.many low trp shows leads are popular.Swati deserves popularity.she is underrated.

My concern about YJJSN is not trps but the actor's work. Even SAAKK, MHRW, ZMGA were low trp shows but none of the FLs got ignored. Debattama and Shivangi became so popular and Esha got a much needed push. I want the same to happen with Swati too. Bcz they want diya to be extremely dark.even if they show her as very dark they can show her dressing up.maybe after marriage she will start dressing up.

The extra dark colour imposition is jarring to watch. There are many dusky complexion actresses who are cast as normal FLs like Aishwarya, Priyanka , Sumbul etc then what's the need of exaggerating the whole dark complexion here by doing extra makeup.
