Gombi is a revelation in this track.
He was always partial.
but he also kept somewhat balance. He was sweet to Raavi, reasonable & sometimes spoke for shiva.
Though Dave has always been his favorite brother.
Which is now more clear than ever.
-he feels lonely because dev left . Doesn’t care dev didn’t even come to see him, it was shiva who always comforted him. Doesn’t care if shiva is always there for him. Taken for granted. No value.
-he is upset at Raavi & Shiva for asking questions - maryada & all. But Rishita washes him patak patak ke- dev stays mute & he has no maryada issues.
-he constantly looks to appease dev & Rishita. No matter what.
Could it be: Shiva being a middle child - always felt neglected by GauRa. Dave was their favorite child, Krish was bachcha so loved & Shiva- the classic middle child no one cares about.
Just to get GauRa’s attention : shiva started behaving all angsty. Started going above & beyond for them. Left school, slogged at store, wrote his life off for GauRa. For simple affection, care & attention.
It is now, after Realizing Raavi’s love & support: he has started seeing things in wider perspective.
He is realizing hopefully:
His being around doesn’t matter to his brother.
his bhai bhabhi can snatch all away from him & give it to Dave, w/o even bothering to inform him.
His bhai & bhabhi will not be happy to let him make some practical business decisions. Failing is not an option for him- where as Dave gets free pass to fail forever. They will still pick Dave’s tabs at the expense of Shiva.
In this track of batwara: Shiva growing as his own man & realizing selective preferences of his bhai Bhabhi will be the best thing - if Writers -creatives dare to show that!
