In fact watched pushpa as soon as it was released on prime! Totally like it compared to the massively hyped gehraiyan, Mimi or Shershaa...

Yes the dance moves are really cringe and some highly uncomfortable - pushpa had two songs which are very popular but the dance moves are vulgar af! Samantha rocking on his lap🤣🤣🤣, and rashmika again with some awkward hip moves. Also telgu movies has a fascination with navel / waist scene which again is cringe.

I hate the leading ladies of South with their vulgar expressions and dances

The only song I really enjoyed was Manohari…

Tell me about it!!!! 🤣

I mean at least in the BW there are actors from the outside, in the tight knit Telugu Industry we know how tough it is for any outsider to make the inroads and how they get targeted for even trying. That plus the way the male actors’ need to get worshipped all the time. Plus the way they treat their female stars. Uff where do we even start!?!

Yeah to put it one way, Telugu movie industry was ahead of it's times compared to the Bollywood/Hindi industry...

It had lots of plain looking and average actors getting ahead due to nepotism, 60 year old heroes romancing 20 something heroines acting like they're the same age, and raunchy songs, scenes, jokes in "family" films etc. long before those things got normalised in BW 😆...

At a time when regional cinema is getting its due recognition, South movie stars are also breaking barriers and booking their ticket to Bollywood. From Samantha to Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna to Naga Chaitanya, here’s a list of south stars lining up to take over the big screens in B-town. While we are on the topic did you know?

Vijay Deverakonda

Vijay Deverakonda wooed the audience with his bad-boy act in 'Arjun Reddy’. Now fans will soon get to sit ringside and cheer him on as he plays an MMA fighter in Karan Johar’s 'Liger’. The hunk will bring the rags to riches story of a slumdog chai wala turned world champ in the film that also stars Ananya Panday and boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Rashmika Mandanna

Another south star making her way to Bollywood is actress Rashmika Mandanna. The beauty will share the screen with B-town hunk Sidharth Malhotra in the spy thriller 'Mission Majnu’ that is inspired by real events. Revealing why she picked this particular film for her debut, Rashmika said, “Mission Majnu, gave me the opportunity to transcend my boundaries. My heart feels happy to know that I started my journey in Hindi cinema with this film and with these beautiful people.”

Naga Chaitanya

Telugu star Naga Chaitanya got an offer he could not refuse when Aamir Khan personally called him to offer a role in 'Laal Singh Chaddha’. Naga revealed that Aamir was impressed by his performances in films and offered him one of the key roles of Bala in the upcoming remake of the Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump’.

The Telugu film industry is unlawfully seizing Bollywood and making it go in a different direction?

Pushpa had the worst choreography completely vulgar and cringe.

Both Samantha and Radhika received quite some flak, in fact the actor and director too. It would have been more if not for the fact that it did huge business in the north and other languages.

On the first weekend it was criticised but after seeing the collection in the north the criticism stopped

Pushpa did not do well in Telugu, it did very well in other languages

Bollywood struck itself down, the hyping of untalented hacks and over hyping of average talents, I include outsiders in this too not just star kids. Barring like 10% no one has it in them to be the “next big thing” without the help of an aggressive PR campaign. Also losing connect with their masses with concepts that are NOT relatable.

I feel the rest of India goes through phases, there was a time when south style movies ruled in Bwood for about 5 years then people started rejecting them. Eventually it’ll happen to the Telegu films too if the content is the same nonsensical stuff. And yeah I said it, the south projects are ambitious and we can tell the people don’t shy away from putting their money in but I’m sorry the content is still nonsensical, the same stuff we look down on Hindi films we praise in other industries. 🤷🏽‍♀️

For Telegu movies to truly takeover they’ll need to keep coming with those huge budgets, and cinema history worldwide is evidence, that it is not a sustainable model specially when the content is still trashy.

Pushpas choreo was Ganesh acharya (chikni chameli) …I felt the choreography lacking in it too coz those were some high energy songs with really pedestrian steps ..:seems trademark Ganesh acharya

I feel like the guy ruins the best dance numbers with vulgar or stupid steps …chikni, bheedi jalaile etc

Like not one of them is remembered for the dancing …all are remembered for the music or the actors charisma …

Telugu industry started conquering Indian television first, than they conquered Indian YouTube and now also the theaters😆.

What is there not to like by an average movie goer, who doesn't give a crap about political correctness the movie and just wants to be entertained.

The biggest key to their success is even though it is so cringy and inaccurate, it is the Hindi dubbing. Goldmines deserve a huge credit for making North Indian audience familiar with Telugu and Tamil industry.
