Magadheera was released before that and was a humongous hit. If it was released now then even the North India it would have made records.

Yeah Bollywood has stolen concepts from the South for years now !
I would love if Bollywood did stuff like this
I think it's a combination of South movies being actually more engaging than recent Bollywood movies (thinking of Drishyam, Bahubali etc) and Bollywood's lack of originality and SoBo/South Delhi director influx (looking at the Shakun Batras, who copy Match Point but pretend to be elitist)... I can't remember the last masala movie in Bollywood I enjoyed.

Completely different story
South make movies which is closer to Desi traditions, while Bollywood tries to appease urban audience. Which is the reason former is being loved more by masses who do not care about the messages, while latter is being hated by many section of audience. Although it just takes a good movie to turn the tide, and if BW keeps being fattu and not take risk, they will not be the highest grossers anymore.
Acc to Bollywood, RRR was a Hindi movie.š
Bollywood doesnāt quite have the dominance it once had over Indian moviegoers and NRIs abroad would be the better statement. It has been a natural progression. And very much expected since Bollywood came first and regional cinema came after. It took them time to progress to the level they could compete with Bollywood and now they can. In some ways, they have outdone them. The studios are newer, other industries are just technologically advanced, I know nepotism is hardly there in the Punjabi industry. Although there are other issues.
South films have nepotism mainly telugu as all the top actors are nepo kids.but in tamil n malayalam, though nepo kids are there, non star kids are also superstars...maybe more than the nepo kids. Even the non star kids get royal treatment if their movies are successful.in malayalam even the star kids are getting banned.recently the son of the biggest superstar who is also a star got banned.

People think that South movie industry doesn't have nepotism or harassment or role snatching etc etc...go read some horror stories from there and also read about the big movie families of south and see if they don't have nepotism.....š¤Ŗ
Also why are all the different movie industry being grouped together against BW......there is a Telugu indiustry, a Tamil industry,,,,Kannada...Malyalam...so its not that one movie industry is doing good....its the group which is being pitched against one industry...how is that even fair??š
