I am accepting this whitewashing as I believe that more than being considerate about the actor who didn't want to play negative, the makers wanted to give the rest of the Tripati cast a decent send-off. After all, they also had contributed in giving the show a longer run. They deserve it.

I actually think it wasn't a whitewash as much as a false sense of lull. They have kept it vague enough that both Malini and Aditya can return as vengeful antagonists.

Just now, I said the same in one of my reply posts. What I meant is even this temporary whitewashing, with Aryan having to say sorry to him 😏, didn't leave us with a good taste.
