fork in the road

I was busy for a few days and I come back to Imlie and find the entire Tripathy clan is leaving. I feel disappointed because I was expecting all sorts of poetry and havoc from the clan on Arylie. we didn't get to see Aryan truly moving on from the impacts of grief and the kind of emotional hurdles that was needed. we didn't get to see the emotional chops we were expecting from Aryan as he processes his emotions over Arvind's death. we didn't get to see Imlie wrestle with herself as she is confused over her new feelings and what it means about moving on. we ddin't get to see Imlie wrestle with the meaning of re-marriage. we didn't get to see Imlie wrestle with her old relationships and finding that new marriage has changed her life whether she likes it or not. we didn't get to see the Tripathy clan turn negative or show human emotion as they feel annoyed at Imlie's changes. we didn't get to see Aditya sulk and process his own actions and wrestle with taking accountability. there was so much potential for great drama!!!!! all of it down the drain. now it is all going to be wrapped up too quickly. all the what ifs and the poetry of what could have happened -- such wasted opportunities for character explorations and growth. so yes, I am disappointed.

I am totally zapped and wondering what direction the story will now go.. what is a drama without villain or conflict? how does it move forward without fuel? tad worried to be honest. is this going to be like one of my favourite serials bepannah which ran out of juice? 🙁

exactly! thats why I feel disappointed. not that I care about these stupid characters but rather about the kind of drama they could have brought and the dynamic character and couple growth. I wanted a slow burn sizzle for Arylie.

Manasvi's lack of skill and non willingness to take up a challenge with stride 😐

Oh my mango I don't say you are my soulmate for nothing You spoke out every single thing i wanted to see in the show. This whole track should actually be of 6 months if he hadn't been leaving the show. We didn't saw Arpi's breakdown when she heard her husband was murdered. We didn't see Aryan's frustration for targetting the wrong person and leaving free the real enemy. We didn't saw Imlie's journey how she moved on from Aditya while trying to find Aryan's peace. We didn't see a sobbing narmada for her son in law. We didn't see Aparna's struggle to accept Imlie is not in her son's life. We didn't see Aditya being in guilt. We didn't sew Ts trying to pay back to Imlie for home. We didn't see the Pg village how they failed in marrying a forceful marriage.

Special mention: Imlie's post marriage games, rasoi, honeymoon and so many things.

The hastiness ruined so many possible plots to occur in the track which wrapped up in 2 weeks.

Sundar Arpi? Rupi's soulmate? Rupi Arpi teasing Arylie?...

They left a hole of so much to explore just coz the actor playing Adi decided to quit. They didn't even give Aditya a good ending. What about Malini? She just vanished. After people seeing Adi in ML position I hoped that they would give him a Happy Ending though he would not be a part of Imlie's life.

I am just eating what is being fed in but definitely not so happy about it!

They'd have totally made Aryan the villian if arylie hadn't become such a rage in such a small time, and casted akt better to reunite adi.lie at the end.

And thing is fahmaan would've taken it up in good spirit and we'd have still enjoyed his performance. (Saying for myself)

Tbh i dnt understand how old fans accepted him in Adi's role. His unwillingness was portrayed by him being the Beautiful Wooden Doll. Adi was so expressive when Gash was playing that role. Also we have been robbed at least 6 months of juicy story. I wanted more Arylie bonding time before their marriage but here we are married and left without any guilt of Adi being shown😭

I actually started this serial only two weeks back, binged watch all episodes of Arylie during the weekend.

I am confused now, whether I joined too late or bit early. Guess, I am as disappointed for all the missed opportunity as you too already mentioned.
