OT: nothing disrespectul ..their wedding..their day..their choice

Frankly, I don’t think anyone is interested in Rani’s wedding. I’m pretty sure that was a court marriage anyways

I wouldn't call it disrespectful. But I will say you can't have your cake and eat it too. Aka, create and play the media hype and then switch it up with "we're into privacy". That just creates whiplash with the public

i think bollywood couples follow certain trends. Abhi ash kept it low key and didnt invite anyone. Actors who got married in that time frame did the same. Shilpa shetty ,lara dutta, rani etc. I remember hype and curiosity of their marriage was huge though. It was all over the news unlike today's celebrity wedding. Everybody knows everything. Celebs are quite open about who they date nowadays. By the time they get married ppl are bored of them. we barely knew of abhi-ash courtship. It was first major bollywood wedding after a long time and quite frankly first for our generation.

Later a new trend was started by virushka...marry in private and later celebrate in grand style. Other celebrities follwed suit. Sonam's wedding was full on legit wedding though. They hid nothing. But i hv got to give it ranbir and alia. They really havent given much to complain. They kept it under wraps as much as possible. Kept it simple and intimate and very very real.

I actually don't get the whole their life is private, they don't need to share it with the world attitude. Keep using your relationships/kids to attract fans, get media attention and promote movies, then turn around and complain when fans feel they are owed more.

They didn't complain if I'm not mistaken. Shaitan feels offended that they ignored him. 😆

I'm a firm believer of privacy whether celeb Or a non-celeb, what I don't agree with is selective privacy that some celebs employ to suit their needs that they proactively use to market their image/brand. They have no issues with shoving their kids activities into our faces. Elevate their relationships to promote movies, sell their image through paid promotions on social media but ask for something that the fans feel they are owed, all hell breaks loose with bhaashan about privacy. Aisa selective hona hai toh, maan lo ki hypocrite hain ye celebs.

If you desire privacy, be an Adi Chopra.

It's their life. They get to decide how much to share. Not really up to anyone else.

They are stars because of the Fans ONLY. If fans don’t watch their movies, they wouldn’t be called stars. Imo Fans deserve to see their fav celebs wedding pics, whom they have been fangirling and going crazy for on social media. Despite being her fan I personally hated Kareena decision for hiding everything regarding her marriage. 😵

How can celebs wanting to keep their big day private be "disrespectful" ?? What kind of a warped logic is this even coming from?

If a girl chooses to wear a knee length skirt in the streets, is she being "disrespectful" to others for not baring the rest of her skin right up to where her thighs meet? Is she?

yeah, think about that and get back to me.

Normal people wouldn't think so. Sadly, there are criminals who do think that.

That's where rape culture comes into play and that's why those nincompoops are criminals.
