Alia Bhatt did look gorgeous on her wedding day .😍

I see a lot of people going haha over how minimal her make up is and how she didn’t overdo the bride thing like the usual Indian brides .

All of this is true BUT what the comman man should keep in mind is that to achieve Alia’s skin she would have been following the best diet , with access to the best dermatologists and the resource to go with the best skin care products (from abroad) without having to worry about the cost.

This privilege the normal girl in India won’t have access too . So Yes, Alia’s no make up look was different and beautiful but young girls shouldn’t take this at face value and feel any sort of pressure.

No, you’re just finding excuses here. Skin is mostly genetics and diet. You absolutely don’t need fancy skincare products, top dermatologists or a dietician. You just need to eat well (cut on oily food, fizzy drinks, drink tonnes of water), protect your skin against UV and have good sleep hygiene. Genetics is something you can’t control though but the rest is easily achievable by any woman.

Agreed. Also the lower/middle class have never needed dermatologists or dieticians because India is so rich with its homemade nuskhe. The haldi masks we have been told to use as kids are now being mass produced by Western companies for crazy prices. The ginger and haldi doodhs we’ve been drinking for years is now sold by huge coffee chains as “ginger turmeric shots” for $15.

Alia has always had great skin. Anushka is another I remember. If the base skin is good, half of the work is done.

I wore a similar makeup on my wedding day. Only thing I added was red lipstick and chandan on forehead ( Bengali bridal tradition).

You need to follow a good skincare, diet and sleep pattern. Sunscreen is must.

Genetics do matter. But skincare changes the game as we age.

She did not wear that big nose ring at her wedding. So her face was clean of that big ornament that was giving her a look of minimal makeup.

makeup is about enhancing your best feature not transforming...and i think alia and kiara are the only peoples who understand it.
her whole bridal look was perfect for her in every way possible(figure, height, the way she carry herself) i'm happy she didn't follow deepika with too much of everything

You guys are mocking traditions by saying oh thank god she didnt wear the big nose ring or the red lips. Please stop this. This is very common in most Hindu weddings and even Sikh weddings.

Stop shaming people who want to wear makeup and look good on their day. This dumb teenager looks the same with or without makeup anyways.

I’m probably in the minority and didn’t like her makeup.

I liked her saree, but she didn’t look like a bride.

Not all brides wear heavy makeup and dark lipstick - but Alia just looked too plain.

Anushka Sharma also had a similar look but at least looked like a bride.

Katrina Kaif while had more makeup than these two, still had less heavy makeup and looked amazing.

I feel that you should look at least a little more done on your wedding
