Is it possible to punch someone and say I didn't want to hurt you? So he hurt her, abused her, humiliated her, both publicly and privately, but he's not trying to hurt or humiliate her?

Tejo has trusted him by faith once and ignoring logic, and it ruined her. It'd be idiotic for her to make the same mistake. Please, go back to the episodes where there are signs open in front of her she still trusts him. In fact she apologizes to him after asking completely reasonable questions.

I believe a person can change but that doesn't mean you can erase someone's past.

Yes, it's not easy to trust a person who has backstabbed you before. But then, their relationship was always more than that. Even when, they were against each other he was always there to support her & protect her. She's an idiot who always trusts the wrong person, and when it's time for her to trust the person she loves she doesn't. Again trusting the wrong person. It's a personality trait that is always going to hold her from making right descisions.

Also, yes. It's pretty normal for everyone to assume the other person involved has done this, and it's normal for the girl too. But, think from the perspective of the other person involved, if he/she isn't guilty and still their partner thinks they can do something like this, how messed up is that?

You can't obviously erase someone's past, but you also can't bring that everytime to prove a point. We have seen from third perspective and we know Fateh can't do anything like that, and it's only expected that Tejo too will believe that Fateh can't do anything like that. But, we understand the situation is like that is making her believe this. She will definitely reflect on this later.
