I agree that she's annoyingly extremist while competing with Adam, but what I love is that for the first time, I'm seeing a female character who's serious about her education. I can't recall even one female character in Pakistani dramas whose first or at least one of the top priorities is her education. The life of each and every girl in our drams revolves around marriage, love, and family politics. In Mere Hamsafar, there was a studious girl, Samreen, but she also becomes the roti dhoti larki whose biggest aim in life is to marry a certain guy.
Also, the scenes in which Neha's father sees her sleeping with books and then on the lawn were so nice to see as I have never seen such a scene in our dramas where a daughter is studying, and her father is glad for this.
To an extent, I can relate with Neha since I was also very serious about my grades, and someone getting more marks than me used to make me anxious too. However, it just used to give me a few sleepless hours at night, and I never went to the extent of Neha.
